IAM / Identity Engineer

JS Careers is partnering with an established Australian financial services organisation to appoint an Identity Engineer within its Security Engineering team.

You’ll help shape how identity is managed across cloud, SaaS and on-premises environments, delivering practical improvements that strengthen security and reduce manual effort.

THE OPPORTUNITY

• Build and improve identity governance, privileged access, authentication and access provisioning capabilities.

• Engineer joiner, mover and leaver processes, role-based access controls and access certification.

• Configure MFA, Conditional Access, SSO and federation.

• Onboard applications into identity governance and privileged access platforms.

• Automate identity processes through scripting, APIs and workflows.

• Work with Security, Technology and business teams to address excessive access, orphaned accounts and standing privilege.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Hands-on experience in identity engineering, IAM, IGA or PAM.

• SailPoint experience is a key requirement, with exposure to BeyondTrust, Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, Okta or CyberArk also valuable.

• An understanding of identity lifecycle management, least privilege, authentication and directory services.

• Automation skills using PowerShell, Python, APIs, Power Automate or Logic Apps.

• A practical approach to problem-solving and the ability to work collaboratively across technical and business teams.
