IAM Technical Architect with German

Project Description:

We are looking for an experienced IAM Technical Architect to join a cybersecurity initiative within a highly regulated environment.

The role focuses on designing and governing a robust Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Identity Governance & Administration (IGA) architecture, ensuring security, compliance, scalability, and seamless integration across enterprise systems.

As a key technical expert, you will define end-to-end architecture concepts, guide technical decisions, assess risks, and ensure alignment with industry regulations and cybersecurity standards.

This is a highly collaborative role involving close cooperation with client-side architects, security specialists, and other technical stakeholders. The position is focused on technical architecture and solution design rather than business analysis or requirements prioritization.

Required Qualifications:

• 10+ years of professional experience in IAM, IGA, cybersecurity architecture, or related security domains.

• Proven experience designing end-to-end IAM/IGA architectures in enterprise environments.

• Experience delivering and designing at least five IAM/IGA architecture implementations.

• Strong understanding of IAM/IGA integration concepts, interface architecture, and system interoperability.

• Experience working within highly regulated industries and compliance-driven environments.

• Strong knowledge of: ISO 27001, BSI IT-Grundschutz, NIS2, KRITIS.

• Experience identifying and managing technical risks, dependencies, and architectural challenges.

• Strong analytical, architectural, and problem-solving skills.

• Experience collaborating with multiple technical stakeholder groups and large-scale enterprise environments.

• Fluent German (C1/C2 level) required for project delivery and client communication.

Nice to Have:

• Experience in the energy, utilities, or critical infrastructure sectors.

• Previous involvement in KRITIS-regulated environments.

• Consulting background within complex IAM/IGA transformation or implementation programs.

• Experience with large-scale identity modernization initiatives.

• Familiarity with cloud-based IAM ecosystems and hybrid identity architectures.

• Experienced in using AI tools in day-to-day workflow

Main Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and continuously improve the overall IAM/IGA architecture.

• Create technical solution concepts and define integration strategies for IAM/IGA ecosystems.

• Ensure a coherent and scalable end-to-end architecture across all identity-related services and platforms.

• Design interfaces and integration mechanisms between IAM/IGA solutions and connected enterprise applications.

• Identify architectural risks, dependencies, technical constraints, and mitigation strategies.

• Ensure architectural compliance with security policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards, including: ISO 27001, BSI IT-Grundschutz, NIS2, KRITIS.

• Collaborate with client-side architects, security experts, and technical teams to drive architectural decisions.

• Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance throughout the entire solution lifecycle.

• Support governance processes and ensure architectural consistency across the program.

• Review solution designs and recommend improvements in line with security and compliance requirements.
