As an IATA Agent at TUI, you'll be at the heart of our operations, managing complex flight bookings, ticketing, exchanges and re-issuances while working closely with global airline partners (such as IATA carriers) to ensure seamless travel arrangements for our customers and groups, using your expertise in GDS (Global Distribution Systems) and airline regulations to guarantee accurate ticketing, compliance and top-tier customer service.

The role will be published until 3rd November.

  • Personal benefits: Attractive remuneration, discretionary bonus schemes, generous travel benefits, extensive health & well-being support, and more.

  • Flexible working: Work is something you do, not somewhere you go. We encourage a healthy work-life balance with a dynamic working environment.

  • A career to shape: Access the TUI Learning Hub to level-up and reach your ambitions.

  • Broaden your network: We champion intercultural collaboration and provide opportunities to work on global projects and teams.

  • Community: Get involved with incredible local charity and sustainability initiatives like the TUI Care Foundation.

  • You'll handle individual and group flight bookings, securing space across various international and domestic carriers while processing electronic tickets (e-tickets), automated/manual re-issuances, re-routings and exchanges in compliance with IATA regulations and airline fare rules.

  • You'll handle flight changes, cancellations, schedule updates and seat allocations swiftly, managing seat limits, group splits or alternative routing during disruptions while quoting complex itineraries, applying proper taxes, fees and surcharges (TTS/YQ/YR) and processing refunds or voids accurately.

  • You'll coordinate directly with partner airlines (e.g., Iberia, TAP Portugal, RAM) regarding special service requests (SSR), group space management and waiver codes.

  • You'll provide exceptional support to internal travel advisors, operations teams and direct clients via phone, email or chat.

  • You have proven experience as a Ticketing Agent, Travel Consultant or GDS Operator within a travel agency, airline or tour operator environment (TUI experience is a plus).

  • You possess IATA/UFTAA Diploma or equivalent airline ticketing certification which is highly preferred along with solid proficiency in at least one major GDS platform (Amadeus, Sabre or Galileo).

  • You demonstrate deep understanding of IATA ticketing rules, fare construction and automated re-issuance tools with exceptional attention to detail, especially under tight deadlines and pressure.

  • You show solid problem-solving skills for managing last-minute flight alterations and group logistics with excellent communication skills in English (and local operational languages like French, depending on the region).

From a workplace to a place to belong. At TUI we embrace diversity, equity, and inclusion, encouraging everyone to come as you are, because together, our potential is limitless.
