Job Title: IBM Db2 System Programmer (z/OS)

Duration: long-term B2B contract

Location: 100% Remote

Role Description:

We are looking for an experienced IBM Db2 for z/OS System Programmer to support and maintain a large-scale enterprise Db2 environment. The role involves production support, software maintenance, performance, security, disaster recovery, and automation across 50+ Db2 subsystems.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, upgrade, test and maintain Db2 for z/OS and related tools.
• Provide production support, troubleshooting and incident management.
• Support distributed Db2 connections and CICS/OLTP environments.
• Perform Db2 performance monitoring, tuning and capacity planning.
• Manage database security, backup/recovery and disaster recovery.
• Support database planning, storage and archiving activities.

Required Skills & Experience

• Significant experience as a z/OS Systems Specialist / Db2 System Programmer.
• Programming/scripting experience with REXX and/or COBOL.
