Senior Identity Governance Operations (SailPoint)

Location: Bangalore (Hybrid)

Experience: 5 - 8 years in Identity & Access Management (IAM), Identity Governance & Administration (IGA), or Cybersecurity Operations

Responsibilities

What will you do?

As a Senior Engineer within the Identity Governance Operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the stability, reliability, and effectiveness of Schneider Electric's SailPoint IdentityIQ service. You will be part of a global cybersecurity organization responsible for delivering identity governance services that protect enterprise applications, infrastructure, and digital assets while supporting business operations across the company.

You will take ownership of complex operational challenges, working closely with application owners, infrastructure teams, cybersecurity professionals, and business stakeholders to ensure identity lifecycle processes are executed accurately and efficiently. Your day-to-day activities will involve investigating and resolving escalated incidents, supporting access governance processes, maintaining service performance, and driving continuous improvements that enhance both operational excellence and user experience.

As a senior member of the team, you will serve as a trusted technical expert and mentor, helping guide colleagues through complex situations while promoting best practices, knowledge sharing, and operational discipline. Your contribution will be instrumental in maintaining a secure, compliant, and resilient identity governance service that supports thousands of users globally.

What skills and capabilities will make you successful?

We are looking for a professional who brings strong operational experience in SailPoint IdentityIQ and a passion for delivering reliable cybersecurity services. The ideal candidate combines technical expertise with a customer-focused mindset and thrives in environments where problem-solving, collaboration, and service ownership are essential.

You should have a solid understanding of identity lifecycle management, access governance processes, provisioning and deprovisioning controls, access certifications, and identity-related compliance requirements. Experience supporting enterprise environments integrated with technologies such as Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, LDAP, and other identity services will be highly valuable.

Success in this role requires strong analytical skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining a high standard of quality. We value individuals who are proactive, curious, and continuously seek opportunities to improve processes, reduce operational risk, and enhance the overall effectiveness of identity governance services.

What's in it for you?

This role offers the opportunity to work within a global cybersecurity organization responsible for one of the company's most critical security platforms. You will have the chance to influence how identity governance services are operated at enterprise scale, collaborate with experts across multiple cybersecurity and technology domains, and contribute directly to protecting the organization's most valuable digital assets.

You will be exposed to a wide range of identity security challenges, regulatory and compliance requirements, and modern cybersecurity practices, offering continuous learning and professional growth opportunities. The position also provides a pathway to further develop expertise in Identity Security, Access Governance, Cybersecurity Operations, and Cybersecurity Leadership within Schneider Electric's Global Digital and Cybersecurity organizations.

Who will you report to?

This position reports to the Identity Governance Operations Manager and is part of a global team responsible for the operation and continuous improvement of Schneider Electric's Identity Governance services.

The role is an individual contributor position with significant influence across the organization. You will work closely with cybersecurity teams, infrastructure and directory services teams, HR stakeholders, application owners, and audit and compliance functions. As a senior engineer, you will also provide guidance and mentorship to other team members, contributing to the team's overall technical capability and operational maturity.
