Are you passionate about improving healthcare outcomes and helping community health centers succeed in value-based care?
Integrated Health Partners (IHP) of Southern California is seeking an experienced and collaborative healthcare leader to serve as our Assistant Director, Clinical Performance Improvement. In this highly visible role, you will partner directly with health center executives, physicians, clinical leaders, and network stakeholders to drive quality improvement initiatives, advance value-based care strategies, and improve patient outcomes across a growing clinically integrated network.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, influencing change, developing others, and turning data into action. You will lead clinical performance improvement efforts, support implementation of evidence-based practices, analyze quality and operational performance, and work alongside member health centers to identify opportunities for improvement and achieve measurable results.
Working closely with the PHIT Quality team, MSO partners, and the Network Population Health IT Management Team, you will help align quality initiatives, reporting, analytics, and performance improvement strategies across the network. You will serve as a trusted advisor to health center leadership, helping organizations navigate quality improvement opportunities while advancing network-wide value-based care goals.
As a key member of the IHP team, you will actively participate in quality committees and workgroups focused on continuous quality improvement, evaluate and present health center performance at Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), and contribute strategic recommendations that support clinical quality, patient access, and operational excellence. You will also help identify and develop innovative performance improvement initiatives for consideration by network leadership.
This role offers the opportunity to provide leadership across multiple initiatives, mentor and guide others, and contribute to the future growth of the Clinical Performance Improvement function, including potential supervision of team members as the department evolves.
This is a remote position with regular travel throughout California to support onsite meetings, performance improvement activities, relationship management, and collaboration with member health centers.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Four (4) or more years of experience in healthcare quality improvement, HEDIS, quality measurement, population health, value-based care, or related performance improvement initiatives.
- Experience working within an FQHC, IPA, CIN, ACO, Managed Care Organization, Health Plan, or similar healthcare environment preferred.
-
Demonstrated experience leading, managing, and developing teams, including direct supervision of staff, performance management, coaching, and employee development.
- Demonstrated experience leading quality improvement initiatives and driving measurable performance outcomes across multiple stakeholders or organizations.
- Experience collaborating with and influencing providers, clinical leaders, executives, and cross-functional teams without direct reporting authority.
- Strong understanding of healthcare quality metrics, evidence-based practices, payer performance measures, and value-based care models.
- Experience presenting performance results, action plans, recommendations, and strategic initiatives to leadership teams and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, including leading projects, facilitating workgroups or committees, mentoring others, and driving organizational change.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, presentation, analytical, and project management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and healthcare reporting, analytics, or population health technology platforms.
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, automobile insurance, and ability to travel up to 45% throughout California, including occasional overnight and conference travel.
