Integrated Health Partners (IHP) is seeking a Manager, Healthcare Data Integration to lead the integration, management, and transformation of healthcare data across our clinically integrated network. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with people leadership to ensure data from multiple sources, including EHRs, payer files, claims, eligibility sources, Health Information Exchanges, and third-party vendors, is accurate, reliable, and ready to support value-based care, quality reporting, population health, and care coordination.
In this role, you will:
- Lead the administration, optimization, and performance of relational and analytical databases supporting network operations.
- Design and maintain scalable database structures that support clinical, claims, payer, and operational data from multiple sources.
- Design, build, and oversee healthcare data integration pipelines across EHR and EMR systems, payer files, Health Information Exchanges, registries, and third-party vendors.
- Lead ETL and ELT processes to normalize, cleanse, and transform data into unified data models.
- Identify and resolve complex data quality challenges, including duplication, data latency, inconsistent coding, missing information, and data integrity concerns.
- Manage and develop data analysts responsible for data ingestion, validation, transformation, reporting, and delivery of accurate data products.
- Establish priorities, provide coaching and direction, and support the professional development of team members.
- Serve as a key liaison between IT, Clinical Operations, Quality, and Population Health teams to align data strategies with organizational priorities.
- Manage vendor relationships related to data platforms, analytics tools, and integration solutions.
- Support the onboarding of new organizations through standardized data-feed integrations and analyst-supported validation processes.
- Contribute to IT strategy, budgeting, and technology roadmap development, with a focus on scalable data infrastructure.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Health Informatics, or a related field.
- 4 or more years of healthcare IT experience, with an emphasis on database management and data integration.
- 3 or more years of experience directly managing analysts or technical staff.
- Demonstrated experience leading, coaching, and developing a technical team.
- Hands-on experience working with relational databases such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MySQL.
- Demonstrated experience leading ETL or ELT workflows and managing healthcare datasets from multiple sources.
- Experience designing or overseeing data integrations involving EHR systems, payer claims, eligibility and attribution files, Health Information Exchanges, registries, or third-party vendors.
- Working knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards, including HL7, FHIR, and claims data formats.
- Experience identifying and resolving data quality issues involving discrepancies, duplication, latency, missing information, and data integrity.
- Strong understanding of how clinical, claims, and payer data support population health, quality measurement, value-based care, and network performance.
- Ability to translate complex healthcare data and integration concepts for nontechnical stakeholders.
- Strong communication, leadership, project management, problem-solving, prioritization, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and manage multiple priorities in a complex healthcare data environment.
- Ability to travel occasionally, up to 5%, for meetings, events, or business needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting a Clinically Integrated Network, Accountable Care Organization, Independent Practice Association, or other value-based care organization.
- Experience working across multiple EHR platforms and understanding clinical data-capture workflows.
- Familiarity with data warehousing technologies such as Redshift, Snowflake, or Hadoop.
- Master’s degree in Health Informatics, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Relevant healthcare IT, database, analytics, or cloud platform certifications, including CPHIMS.
