What we're looking for

We're partnering with a fast-growing US-based brand that designs collectible tokens and merchandise, mainly for travel destinations around the world, along with themed collections like sports stadiums and military branches. They make physical things and obsess over how they're made, because their customers notice every detail. They're looking for a talented illustrator who can own a design from first concept to a manufacturable, retail-ready piece.

What You'll Be Doing

• Create original illustrations and designs for collectible tokens and new, larger merchandise lines, capturing the spirit of specific destinations and themes.
• Take concepts from sketch to digital rendering to refined, production-ready files.
• Work directly with manufacturers and suppliers on materials, finishes, and technical specifications.
• Troubleshoot production and packaging issues, balancing beauty with manufacturability.
• Maintain consistent visual branding across product lines and packaging.
• Deliver two or three design iterations for new markets or products, and support retail store display design as the company grows.

Requirements

• Strong traditional art skills (drawing) with a genuinely great design aesthetic.
• Digital illustration and graphic design chops, including layout, typography, and visual hierarchy.
• Hands-on experience designing physical products in the travel memento space, such as keychains, magnets, or pins.
• A solid understanding of manufacturing processes and their limitations.
• The ability to work independently on assigned projects and take feedback well when collaborating with the lead designer and CEO.
• Comfort with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop (or comparable tools), plus Slack and Asana.
• Strong English communication skills and sharp attention to detail.

Nice to Have

• Experience designing enamel pins, collectibles, souvenirs, or merch.
• Initiative to spot new trends before they land.
• An interest in travel, storytelling through design, and environmentally conscious products.
