Immigration Paralegal to support an immigration law firm based in the United States. You will work closely with attorneys and legal staff, assisting with immigration applications, case management, client communication, and legal documentation throughout the immigration process.
Location: Remote (An office will be opening in Buenos Aires in the next few months)
- Assist U.S. immigration attorneys with preparing and managing immigration cases
- Prepare, review, and organize immigration forms, petitions, applications, and supporting documentation
- Assist with family-based immigration, adjustment of status, naturalization, work authorization, and other immigration matters
- Communicate with clients in English and Spanish to collect information, request documents, and provide case updates
- Draft client correspondence, cover letters, and other legal documents under attorney supervision
- Track case deadlines, application statuses, and requests for additional evidence (RFEs)
- Organize and maintain accurate client records in the firm's case management system
- Assist attorneys with preparing filings for USCIS and other relevant government agencies
- Follow up with clients regarding missing documents, appointments, and pending applications
- Fluent English and fluent Spanish (written and spoken). Both are required.
- Previous experience as an immigration paralegal, legal assistant, or in a similar legal support role
- Experience working with a U.S. immigration law firm is strongly preferred
- Familiarity with U.S. immigration forms, USCIS procedures, and immigration case documentation
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with immigration case management software is a plus
- Ability to meet deadlines and handle sensitive client information responsibly
- Professional and empathetic communication skills when assisting clients through complex immigration processes
- Availability to work during U.S. business hours
