About WAFA:

WAFA (Water, Air, Food Awards) is a volunteer-based NGO headquartered in Copenhagen, Denmark. We identify, recognize, and award community initiatives that address basic needs while collaborating with nature. Through our work, we aim to give a voice to otherwise unknown and unheard heroes.

About This Role:

WAFA is a growing, mission-driven NGO looking for 2–3 Impact Measurement Specialists to strengthen how we measure and communicate our impact. You’ll develop practical tools to track results, collect and analyse data, and turn insights into clear, meaningful stories that show how and for whom WAFA creates impact. You’ll also help strengthen our relationships with stakeholders, impact partners, and sponsors while supporting organisational learning and growth. If you’re passionate about the environment and eager to use your skills to help WAFA grow and increase its impact, we’d love to hear from you!

Your responsibilities:

  • Develop straightforward impact frameworks (e.g., theories of change, KPIs, outcome indicators).
  • Set up easy‑to‑use systems for collecting data from our programmes and partners.
  • Analyse data and share clear insights that help us improve our work.
  • Support monitoring and evaluation activities, including surveys, interviews, and
  • basic research.
  • Produce simple, engaging reports and visuals for our team, funders, corporate
  • sponsors and community.
  • Ensure data is accurate, ethical, well‑organised and easy to understand
  • Work closely with programme staff to make impact measurement part of everyday work.

We expect you to:

  • Experience in impact measurement, monitoring & evaluation, or social and
  • environmental research.
  • Comfortable working with data (Excel, Google Sheets, or basic analytics tools).
  • Ability to design simple data collection tools (forms, surveys, interview guides).
  • Strong communication skills—able to explain findings in a clear and simple way.
  • Experience in the nonprofit or social and environmental impact sector is helpful.
  • Organised, curious, and willing to build systems from scratch.
  • A practical, problem‑solving mindset.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic team.
  • A passion for learning and improving your skill set.
  • A genuine interest in social and environmental impact and community‑driven Change.
  • Strong English skills are required; knowledge of Danish is an advantage.
  • Have availability of 8–10 hours per week.

It goes without saying that you enjoy working with people and are a team player, and

that you are self-driven and well-organized.

You will be working remotely and will require access to a computer with a fast internet connection.

We communicate via email and video calls.

As a volunteer, you get:

To work in an international team and get exposure to experts and enthusiasts from various backgrounds. You have a flexible schedule and the ability to work from home on topics you enjoy and that are meaningful. Most importantly, you will have the chance to put your skills in practice and help shape the future of an organization with global reach and potential.

Does this sound like a job for you? You can apply with your CV and a short letter of motivation telling us why you want to join WAFA. We would like our Impact Measurement Specialist to start as soon as possible. We will get back to you for an in-depth discussion about the position.
