CleanHub is a technology-driven company dedicated to addressing global waste management challenges. Leveraging innovative technologies, we strive to bridge funding gaps in waste collection and improve data in track-and-trace practices. We are looking for an Impact Project Lead to join our team on a full-time role managing our waste management projects across multiple countries with focus in Tanzania.
Note: you must reside in Tanzania for this role
Role Details
- Compensation: As per experience and market standards
- Contract: Full time role.
- Start date: As soon as possible
- Reports to: Head of Impact
Responsibilities
- Manage the partnership with the waste management organisations in Tanzania, Egypt and Indonesia ( partially).
- Coordinate the processes for waste collection and social compliance, to meet the CleanHub standard.
- Design and implement track-and-trace processes for the projects.
- Coordinate and liaise with brand customers for site visits.
- Communicate updates and feedback from partners to the CleanHub team.
- Travel as needed to visit project sites (travel expenses covered by CleanHub)
- Confident English communication skills and Swahili.
- Residing in Tanzania, with the ability to travel locally to project and partner sites.
- 3-4 years of relevant work experience (e.g. project coordination, sustainability, community/field work, or a related area).
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate a proactive problem-solving approach.
- Reasonably quick at adapting to novel tasks with attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate with a remote, multicultural team.
- Access to a stable internet connection.
Qualifications
- Genuine interest in waste management and familiarity with the challenges it entails.
- University degree or equivalent experience in any field; preference for sustainable development, public policy, or environmental science.
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Exposure to waste management practices worldwide.
