The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining data pipelines that integrate turbine, substation and SCADA data to support operations, engineering, asset management and performance analytics.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain data pipelines to process high-frequency time-series data from SCADA, condition monitoring and historian systems.
- Structure, model and transform industrial operational data for analytics, reporting and performance monitoring.
- Collaborate with Operational Technology (OT) and Information Technology (IT) teams to integrate industrial protocols, including OPC UA, Modbus and MQTT, with cloud data platforms.
- Build and manage data storage solutions, including data lakes and time-series databases.
- Establish data naming conventions, tagging standards and data management practices.
- Implement data quality checks, monitoring systems and alerts to identify missing data, anomalies and inaccurate sensor readings.
- Support asset performance, availability and energy production reporting across the offshore wind portfolio.
- Ensure data handling complies with project cybersecurity policies, access controls and industrial data security requirements.
- Document data flows, integration processes, technical standards and system configurations.
- Collaborate with distributed, multidisciplinary teams and support the onboarding of new users to data platforms.
Requirements
- Degree in Data Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
- 7+ years of experience in data engineering, preferably within industrial, energy, utilities or infrastructure environments.
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS or equivalent technologies.
- Experience working with time-series data, industrial historian systems and streaming data technologies.
- Understanding of OT/IT integration, industrial communication protocols and cybersecurity fundamentals.
- Experience with version control, CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
- Strong understanding of data modelling, data quality management and pipeline optimisation.
- Familiarity with dashboarding and visualisation tools such as Power BI or Grafana is a plus.
- Offshore wind experience is preferred but not mandatory.
- Must be able to work fully remotely from Denmark for the 18-month contract duration.
