RAS Logistics IncApply Description Industrial Engineering – Planning & Analytics Job Brief Third-Party Logistics (3PL) – Last-Mile Delivery & Fulfillment Operations Role Overview · This role provides Industrial Engineering support for RAS Logistics account operations, turning operational data into dashboards, reports, and root-cause analysis that drive day-to-day efficiency and lower operating cost. · You will partner closely with division ops leadership (including VP-level partners) and site/ops management to improve processes, streamline SOPs, and close performance gaps across the network. · A core mandate is building forecasting tools that clarify driver need and improve overall staffing decisions, so sites run fuller, steadier days with the right mix of capacity. · You will also lead inside work measurement, cost analysis, and driver-pay / bid profitability work so operations are more efficient and commercially stronger. · Some travel is required to support sites, ops leadership, and on-the-ground process work. What You’ll Be Responsible For Dashboards, Reporting & Root Cause · Build dashboards and internal apps with a strong preference for AI-assisted development to move faster on reporting and tooling. · Build and maintain operational dashboards that give leadership clear visibility into productivity, service, cost, and capacity. · Produce recurring and ad-hoc reports that support division ops leadership and site/ops managers. · Lead root-cause analysis on service misses, inefficiencies, and cost overruns, and translate findings into prioritized actions. · Ensure data accuracy and a single source of truth for division reporting, tied to agreed definitions and sources. Forecasting, Driver Need & Staffing · Develop forecasting tools that project volume and convert it into driver / team need by site and day. · Improve staffing models across equipment and route types (including box/appliance and van-style capacity) so sites plan fuller days and avoid unnecessary adds. · Support peak and weekly planning with clear projections ops can trust and adjust. · Partner with ops to validate forecast assumptions against actuals and continuously tighten accuracy. Process Improvement & SOPs · Work with ops management to improve processes and streamline standard operating procedures (SOPs) across the network. · Conduct inside work measurement, time studies, and workflow analysis to reduce operating cost and remove waste. · Document standard work and support rollout so improvements stick across sites. Cost Analysis & Bid Profitability · Analyze operating cost drivers and identify efficiency opportunities that protect margin while meeting service goals. · Support cost analysis that streamlines driver pay structures and improves bid profitability. · Build clear data cases for process changes, staffing changes, and commercial decisions. Cross-Functional Partnership · Serve as a primary IE / analytics partner to division ops leadership. · Translate complex analysis into practical recommendations ops can execute. · Align ops, planning, and leadership on shared improvement goals and forecast assumptions. Salary Description $115,000 - $125,000/ annualy
