Information Security Specialist | NIS2 & ISO 27001

As part of the CISO team, they are looking for an Information Security Specialist who wants to go beyond pure security operations. This is a role with real ownership, visibility and business impact, where you will act as a trusted partner to the CISO and take the lead on projects from initial analysis through implementation and follow-up.

Information Security Specialist - What's the job about ?

• Act as the CISO’s right hand on information security, IT risk and resilience topics, helping translate strategic priorities into concrete initiatives.
• Take ownership of end-to-end security & resilience projects, from requirements and risk assessment through implementation, testing and continuous improvement.
• Lead the organisation’s IT Service Continuity & Disaster Recovery approach, assessing resilience, recovery readiness and critical dependencies.
• Identify, analyse and monitor IT risks, working closely with technical teams, architects and external service providers to strengthen security and resilience.
• Design and coordinate recovery testing, analyse results and turn findings into actionable improvement plans.
• Contribute to security awareness, governance and compliance, using frameworks such as ISO, NIST, COBIT and ITIL to support a mature security environment.

Information Security Specialist - Who are you ?

• 3–10 years of experience in information security, IT risk, IT service continuity, business continuity or a closely related field.
• Strong understanding of security frameworks & standards, ideally including ISO 27001, ISO 22301, ISO 31000, NIST, COBIT and/or ITIL.
• Good knowledge of IT infrastructure & security architectures, including cloud environments such as Azure and GCP.
• Experience working with external IT/service providers, particularly around security, resilience, controls or service continuity.
• Strong analytical, communication & stakeholder management skills, with the ability to turn complex technical topics into clear business actions.
• Fluent in Dutch or French, with a good understanding of the other language. English is used in the international/IT environment. Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC or BCI are a plus.
