MPG Recruitment is partnering exclusively with a well-known international company to hire an IT Business Systems Analyst for its Irish operation. This is a varied, hands-on role combining application support, business analysis, testing and change management with on-site end-user IT support. You’ll be the local IT presence in Ireland, backed by a regional IT team in Cologne, with real scope to grow as more work transfers to Ireland and the team expands.
What you’ll be doing
Business Analysis & Change

- Process mapping and documenting local applications and support models
- Managing change: securing business approval, communicating changes, and producing procedures and training materials
Testing
- Managing the test lifecycle for technical and process changes
- Writing test plans, capturing test evidence, and ensuring only fully tested changes go into production
Application Support
- Day-to-day support and configuration of core business systems: Dealer Point of Sale/Front Office and Contract Management/Back Office, plus Finance, Sales, Marketing and Operations applications
- Financial product updates, Accounts Payable and billing support, vehicle data uploads, contract lifecycle and statement documentation
- User access and role-based security administration
- Monitoring interfaces, integrations and batch processes
Level 1 IT & End-User Support
- On-site desk-side support for staff
- Laptop imaging, hardware deployment and IT equipment audits/asset lists
- Mobile phone enrolment and device management
- Microsoft 365 user and account support
- Supporting conferencing, display and printing equipment
- Logging and tracking tickets in ManageEngine (moving to ServiceNow) and escalating to regional IT as needed
Service Management & Reporting
- Incident, service request and problem management through to resolution
- Running service review meetings with third-party suppliers and managing vendor performance
- Producing CCR, KRI, SLA and performance reports
- Supporting internal and external audits and regulatory controls
- Working remotely with suppliers and dealers
What you’ll bring
- 3+ years’ experience in an application support, IT support or business systems role
- Business analysis skills: requirements gathering, process mapping, documentation and stakeholder engagement
- Knowledge of change management, testing methodologies and the SDLC
- Incident, problem and service request management experience with a ticketing system
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to find root causes
- Hands-on Microsoft 365 and end-user/hardware support experience
- Exposure to Windows Servers and AWS
- Understanding of system integrations, interfaces and batch monitoring
- User access and role-based security administration
- Experience working with third-party vendors to agreed service levels
- Clear communicator who produces accurate, professional documentation
Nice to have
- ManageEngine and/or ServiceNow
- Scripting (PowerShell or similar)
- Financial services, motor finance, banking or other regulated environment experience
- ITIL knowledge
- Reporting tools and workflow automation experience
- A degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analysis or similar
What’s on offer
- €45,000 – €50,000 base salary
- Bonus of up to 10%
- 10% employer pension contribution (5% employee)
- Hybrid working: 4 days on-site, 1 day remote
- Flexible start time between 7am and 11am (core cover 9–5)
- Genuine growth: more responsibility moving to Ireland and a planned team expansion
Applicants must have the right to work in Ireland. Stamp 4 holders are welcome to apply.
