IT Project / Delivery Manager – Group Risk Solutions

Banking | Risk Management | Austria | English | 4-month opportunity | Hybrid – 1 day/week in Vienna

We are looking for an experienced IT Project / Delivery Manager to join an international banking environment and support the end-to-end delivery of small and medium-sized projects as well as agile delivery initiatives.

The role is part of the Group Risk Solutions area, which provides business-critical risk management solutions across Austria and Central and Eastern Europe. The projects support regulatory compliance, provide the data required for risk-related decisions, and contribute to digital transformation initiatives.

This is a 4-month opportunity, with a hybrid working model requiring 1 day per week onsite in the Vienna office.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage small and medium-sized IT projects and agile delivery initiatives end-to-end
• Support the definition of project scope, objectives, priorities and timelines
• Identify key stakeholders and clarify roles and responsibilities
• Work closely with Business and Product Owners
• Manage senior management, business and IT stakeholders
• Establish project planning and controlling, with a focus on critical-path management
• Plan resources and work packages
• Manage project risks, issues, changes and dependencies
• Ensure delivery on time, within budget and to the required quality
• Coordinate internal and external IT solution providers
• Support agile teams and managers as a servant leader and trusted advisor

What We Are Looking For

• At least 3 years of end-to-end IT project management experience
• Experience working in both predictive / Waterfall and agile delivery environments
• Confidence in managing multiple stakeholders, senior leaders and parallel priorities
• Experience with project planning, budget, risk, issue, change and dependency management
• Strong communication, presentation and problem-solving skills
• Fluent English
• University degree in Economics, Computer Science or a related technical field
• Project management certification

Nice to Have

• Experience in banking, financial services, insurance or another regulated industry
• Knowledge of Risk Management or regulatory projects
• Scrum Master or Product Owner experience
• Scrum / PO certification and knowledge of agile toolkits
• German or another Central European language
