Information Technology Security Architect

BOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Join Hexa as an IT Security Architect specializing in Splunk and Linux, supporting critical cybersecurity platforms within the banking sector.

Based in Portugal, with a hybrid working model, you will contribute to security operations, application reliability and continuous improvement across complex IT environments.

• Hybrid, 2x per week in the office

WHAT YOU WILL DO

- Support and maintain cybersecurity applications across Linux and Windows Server environments.

- Investigate production incidents, perform root cause analysis and implement preventive solutions.

- Monitor application availability, performance and infrastructure capacity in accordance with SLAs.

- Coordinate application deployments, upgrades and technical changes.

- Collaborate with development, infrastructure and networking teams on application architecture and operational requirements.

- Maintain technical documentation and improve operational procedures through automation.

- Support security log collection, incident response platforms and forensic investigation environments.

- Contribute to cloud security monitoring and automated threat detection initiatives.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

- 6 to 9 years of experience in IT security, application support or infrastructure operations.

- Strong expertise in Linux environments and Splunk.

- Experience supporting business-critical applications and managing complex technical incidents.

- Knowledge of application architecture, monitoring and security operations.

- Analytical thinking, autonomy and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

- Strong collaboration, communication and documentation skills.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

- Linux and Windows Server administration and troubleshooting.

- Splunk, SIEM, security log collection and event analysis.

- Security incident management with TheHive.

- Security orchestration and automation using n8n.

- Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), including Trellix HX.

- Application monitoring, capacity management and SLA management.

- Incident, problem, change and release management.

- Process automation and application lifecycle management.

NICE TO HAVE

- Cloud security monitoring across AWS, Azure or GCP.

- Machine learning and deep learning applications in cybersecurity.

- Digital forensics and isolated investigation environments.

- SOAR practices and familiarity with ISO/IEC 27001 principles.
