Role Description The Information Technology System Administrator is a full-time remote role responsible for maintaining, monitoring, and optimizing the organization’s IT infrastructure. Day-to-day tasks include administering servers and operating systems, managing user accounts and access controls, and ensuring system stability, security, and performance. The role involves overseeing network connectivity, coordinating software updates and patches, and performing regular backups and recovery procedures. The System Administrator will provide technical support to internal teams, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and document configurations, processes, and incident resolutions. Collaboration with other IT and project teams is expected to support ongoing initiatives and continuous improvement of systems and services.
Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in System Administration and Information Technology, including server, OS, and user access management.
• Candidates should possess skills in Network Administration, with experience managing network devices, connectivity, and basic security configurations.
• Candidates should possess skills in Technical Support and Troubleshooting, with the ability to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and configuration issues.
• Relevant experience with virtualization platforms, cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure), and enterprise tools such as SAP or similar systems is beneficial.
• Working knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, backup and disaster recovery procedures, and system monitoring tools is preferred.
• Strong documentation, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Industry certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft, or similar credentials are an advantage.
