Project Overview

This Gig requires an Infrastructure Lead experienced in managing complex infrastructure separation and migration projects, particularly within M&A contexts. The role involves acting as the client-side control tower overseeing the systems integrator responsible for infrastructure separation. The focus is on delivering standalone target infrastructure architecture covering hosting, network, security, identity, end-user services, and site and plant infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Drive infrastructure design decisions and provide broad advice and governance

Engage with executives and influence stakeholders

Manage scope, quality, cost, and progress of the systems integrator’s work

Own and define target infrastructure architecture for standalone operations

Set separation routes for Day 1, TSA period, and TSA exit

Ensure infrastructure dependencies for SAP ECC carve-out including hosting, environments, connectivity, and cutover windows

Define coexistence requirements for Day 1, scope and exit criteria for TSA services

Plan and govern migration and site cutovers

Manage information flow within the separation team, including requests and dependencies

Translate technical positions into plain business terms

Required Skills and Experience

Proven experience leading infrastructure projects in M&A or similar fast-paced environments

Consulting background preferred, with pragmatic and self-starting approach

Experience across diverse industries preferred

Expertise in infrastructure architecture including hosting, network, security, and identity management

Familiarity with SAP ECC systems and infrastructure dependencies

Skilled in migration planning and execution

Deliverables

Comprehensive infrastructure design and separation strategy

Governance and oversight frameworks for the systems integrator

Clear separation route plans for different project phases

Defined migration and cutover plans

Documentation of TSA service scope and exit criteria

Regular updates communicated in plain business language
