Joignez-vous à l'équipe Grid Integration d'Hitachi Énergie à titre d'Ingénieur principal (Postes électriques). Dans ce rôle, vous contribuerez à la conception et à la réalisation de projets de postes électriques AIS et GIS à haute tension qui soutiennent la fiabilité, la sécurité et la modernisation du réseau électrique au Canada. En participant aux phases d'offre, d'ingénierie et de construction, vous développerez des conceptions électromécaniques, coordonnerez les activités d'ingénierie et collaborerez avec les clients, entrepreneurs, fournisseurs d'équipement et équipes multidisciplinaires. Votre travail contribuera directement à la réalisation d'infrastructures de transport d'énergie essentielles, permettant aux services publics et aux clients industriels d'améliorer la performance du réseau tout en respectant les plus hauts standards de qualité, de sécurité et d'exécution. Votre impact
- Fournir des services d'ingénierie pour des projets de postes électriques AIS et GIS durant les phases d'offre, de conception et de construction.
- Produire des livrables électromécaniques, notamment des schémas unifilaires, plans d'aménagement, systèmes de mise à la terre, services auxiliaires, chemins de câbles et nomenclatures.
- Développer des solutions techniques pour des projets complexes liés aux postes électriques et aux infrastructures de transport d'énergie.
- Coordonner les activités d'ingénierie et collaborer avec des équipes multidisciplinaires afin d'assurer la réussite des projets.
- Réaliser des revues techniques des livrables en mettant l'accent sur la qualité, la constructibilité, la fiabilité et l'optimisation des coûts.
- Préparer les échéanciers d'ingénierie, les plans de travail et les estimations de coûts afin de soutenir l'exécution des projets.
- Fournir un soutien technique lors des essais, de l'installation, des essais en usine et de la mise en service.
- Collaborer directement avec les clients, entrepreneurs, fournisseurs et partenaires internes afin de résoudre des enjeux techniques et de répondre aux exigences des projets.
- Responsable d'assurer la conformité aux règlements, procédures et directives applicables, tant à l'interne qu'à l'externe.
Votre profil
- Le candidat ou la candidate doit déjà disposer d'une autorisation de travail lui permettant de travailler pour Hitachi Énergie au Canada.
- Baccalauréat en génie mécanique ou en génie électrique.
- De 4 à 8 ans d'expérience pertinente.
- Membre de l'OIQ ou d'un ordre professionnel d'ingénieurs reconnu dans une autre province canadienne.
- Connaissance du Code canadien de l'électricité, du National Electrical Code ainsi que des normes ANSI/IEEE.
- Expérience en conception d'installations, particulièrement dans le domaine des postes électriques de transport à haute tension.
- Expérience sur des projets de postes AIS et/ou GIS.
- Maîtrise du BIM, d'Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) et de Revit pour la modélisation 3D.
- Maîtrise du français et de l'anglais.

The Opportunity
Join Hitachi Energy's Grid Integration business as a Primary Engineer (Substations). In this role, you will contribute to the design and delivery of high-voltage AIS and GIS substation projects that support the reliability, safety, and modernization of the power grid across Canada. Working through proposal, engineering, and construction phases, you will develop electro-mechanical designs, coordinate engineering activities, and collaborate with customers, contractors, equipment suppliers, and multidisciplinary project teams. Your work will directly support critical transmission infrastructure projects, helping utilities and industrial customers improve grid performance while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and project execution. How You'll Make an Impact
- Provide engineering services for AIS and GIS substation projects throughout proposal, design, and construction phases.
- Develop electro-mechanical engineering deliverables including single-line diagrams, layouts, grounding systems, station service designs, raceway systems, and bills of materials.
- Support the development of engineering solutions for complex substation and transmission infrastructure projects.
- Coordinate engineering activities and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support successful project execution.
- Review engineering deliverables for technical quality, constructability, reliability, and cost effectiveness.
- Prepare engineering schedules, work plans, and cost estimates to support on-time project delivery.
- Provide technical support during testing, installation, factory acceptance testing, and commissioning activities.
- Work directly with customers, contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to address technical challenges and project requirements.
- Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
Your Background
- Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in Canada.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
- 4-8 years of relevant experience.
- Member of OIQ or licensed with an engineering association in another Canadian province.
- Knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code, National Electrical Code, and ANSI/IEEE requirements.
- Experience in plant design, particularly involving high-voltage transmission substation solutions.
- Experience supporting AIS and/or GIS substation engineering projects.
- Proficiency in BIM, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), and Revit 3D modeling.
- Fluent in both French and English.
