Inside Recruiter – Legal, Risk & Compliance

Part-time (0.6 FTE, three days a week) | Melbourne CBD | Robert Half

Are you an experienced recruiter who likes the candidate side of the job most? Do you enjoy finding great people and understanding what motivates them? Would you like to do that work part-time, without putting your career on hold?

Our Legal, Risk & Compliance practice in Melbourne keeps growing, so we're adding a part-time Inside Recruiter. You'll work closely with the Senior Practice Director, and the wider team. This role suits someone coming back to work, someone looking for better balance, or someone who wants to focus on sourcing and candidate delivery.

About the role

You'll find, attract and engage high-quality candidates for the practice. You'll also make sure every candidate has an excellent experience with us. Most of your time will go on sourcing and screening, and you'll also have some client contact as part of delivery.

Talent sourcing and market intelligence

• Find and engage candidates through referrals, networking, advertising and headhunting
• Build and maintain talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs
• Keep up with market trends and talent movements across Legal, Risk & Compliance

Candidate assessment and management

• Screen, interview and reference-check candidates to find the best match for each client
• Get a real understanding of each candidate's skills, motivations and career goals
• Give candidates a positive, professional and consultative experience from start to finish

Recruitment and placement support

• Work with the Senior Practice Director and the wider team to make successful placements
• Present suitable candidates with accurate, timely information
• Debrief candidates after interviews and give constructive feedback
• Support offer management and keep candidates updated throughout the process

Collaboration and continuous improvement

• Share market intelligence, candidates and opportunities with colleagues
• Help the practice grow and hit its revenue goals through placement activity
• Look for ways to improve our recruitment processes and candidate outcomes

Systems and compliance

• Keep candidate records and activity tracking in Salesforce accurate and up to date
• Handle all data accurately and with integrity

About you

• A few years' experience in agency recruitment or in-house talent acquisition
• Confident sourcing and screening candidates, with some exposure to client delivery
• A consultative, people-first approach and strong communication skills
• Well organised, detail-focused and comfortable working to activity targets and KPIs
• A team player who enjoys sharing ideas and celebrating shared wins
• Experience in Legal, Risk & Compliance recruitment is a bonus but not essential
