Intake Specialist

About the Position

Contact Marketers is seeking a Bilingual Healthcare Intake Specialist to join our team. We are looking for a highly motivated, professional, and compassionate individual with a healthcare background, excellent communication skills, and experience handling both inbound and outbound calls.

The Intake Specialist will serve as an important first point of contact for patients and clients, gathering accurate information, understanding their needs, and ensuring they are connected with the appropriate services. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced remote environment and can communicate confidently and professionally in both English and Spanish.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle a high volume of inbound and outbound calls in a professional and courteous manner.
• Conduct patient/client intake and collect accurate demographic, insurance, medical, and referral information.
• Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and internal team members.
• Identify and document patient needs while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate referrals or follow-up services as needed.
• Make outbound calls for follow-ups, appointment confirmations, referrals, and other client-related needs.
• Enter and maintain accurate information in electronic systems and databases.
• Follow established workflows, scripts, and quality standards.
• Provide exceptional customer service while demonstrating empathy and professionalism.
• Protect confidential patient information and follow applicable privacy and compliance requirements.
• Meet established productivity, quality, attendance, and performance goals.

Qualifications

• Bilingual in English and Spanish – required.
• Previous experience in a healthcare environment preferred.
• Experience as a Medical Assistant, Patient Coordinator, Patient Access Representative, Medical Receptionist, Intake Specialist, Referral Coordinator, or similar healthcare role is highly valued.
• Previous experience handling both inbound and outbound calls.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to gather and document information accurately.
• Comfortable using computers, electronic medical records (EMR/EHR), CRM systems, and other digital platforms.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and stay productive in a remote environment.
• Professional, dependable, and compassionate approach when working with patients and clients.

The ideal candidate is someone who combines healthcare knowledge with outstanding communication and customer service skills. You should be comfortable speaking with patients by phone, asking the right questions, documenting information accurately, and managing multiple conversations or tasks throughout the day.
