About the role:

Are you passionate about integrations, automation and building the digital connections that keep a business running? As our Integrations & Systems Specialist, you'll play a critical role in supporting and optimising Unitywater's integration and automation platforms, ensuring our systems, data and processes work seamlessly together. Working across Azure Integration Services, Appian automation and our digital metering ecosystem, you'll help maintain reliable and secure integrations, support business-critical systems and drive continuous improvement across our technology landscape.

This is an exciting 2-year max-term opportunity to work with modern cloud technologies, influence platform enhancements and contribute to the delivery of smarter, more connected services for our customers and communities.

In this role, you'll:

  • Support and enhance Unitywater's integration and automation platforms, ensuring critical systems, data and services remain reliable, secure and available.
  • Work across modern Azure technologies, supporting APIs, integrations, automation workflows and cloud-based solutions that enable business operations and digital transformation.
  • Partner with project teams, vendors and business stakeholders, helping translate requirements into effective technical solutions and platform improvements.
  • Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence, implementing best practice, monitoring performance and identifying opportunities to optimise platform capability.
  • Contribute to the future of digital delivery at Unitywater, leveraging emerging technologies, automation and integration capabilities to improve user experience and business outcomes.

About you:

Our One Unitywater behaviours - Create the Future, Care Together, and Own It – define how we work together at Unitywater. To contribute to this, you will demonstrate the following skills and qualities for the role:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or a related discipline, or equivalent demonstrated experience.
  • Experience supporting, administering or developing solutions using Azure Integration Services, including APIM's ,Logic Apps, Function Apps, Event Hubs or Service Bus.
  • Strong understanding of integration services, application support, service availability, performance and information security principles.
  • Experience supporting system integrations, data flows, automation platforms or enterprise applications within a complex environment.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and business teams.
  • Problem-solving capability, with the ability to investigate issues, identify root causes and implement practical solutions.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Appian, Suez OnConnect or similar automation and workflow platforms.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
  • Knowledge of Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage, Databricks or wider Azure cloud services.
  • Experience with data warehousing, ETL processes, dimensional modelling or business intelligence technologies.
  • Experience with SQL scripting, performance optimisation or database technologies.
