Job Description:
Integration Project Manager (VSG UK)
The Vesta Software Group acquires, manages, and builds software companies in a variety of vertical markets, enabling them to be clear leaders in their industries. Our companies provide mission-critical enterprise solutions for vertical industries across the entire industry value chain.
Being a portfolio group of Jonas Software (within Constellation Software Inc.), the Vesta Software Group is all about strengthening businesses within the markets in which we compete and enabling them to grow – whether through organic measures such as new initiatives and product development, day-to-day business, or through acquisitions.
Role overview
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Integration Project Manager to support the delivery of our integration and value-creation strategy. This role is suited to someone with strong project-management fundamentals who can coordinate a strategy team, maintain momentum across workstreams, and provide clear visibility of progress, risks, and decisions.
The Integration Project Manager will translate the integration thesis into an actionable plan, coordinate execution across the strategy team and wider business, and ensure challenges are identified and escalated early. The role manages the delivery process rather than directly managing the strategy team's performance.
Key responsibilities
- Translate the integration and value-creation thesis into clear workstreams, milestones, owners, dependencies, and deliverables.
- Coordinate the strategy team and relevant functional stakeholders to execute agreed initiatives.
- Maintain the integrated project plan, ensuring actions, decisions, and deadlines are clearly documented.
- Monitor delivery against agreed milestones, priorities, and expected outcomes.
- Prepare concise weekly and monthly progress reports for senior stakeholders.
- Track key performance indicators and support measurement of benefits delivered against the original thesis.
- Identify risks, blockers, dependencies, and resource constraints, escalating them promptly with practical recommendations.
- Facilitate project meetings, document decisions, and follow up with owners to ensure actions are completed.
- Support alignment between the strategy team, operational teams, and leadership.
- Help improve project-management tools, governance processes, and reporting templates.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and create a clear audit trail of progress and decisions.
Candidate profile
- Approximately 2–4 years of experience in project management, strategy, consulting, business operations, integration, or a similar role.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage several workstreams simultaneously.
- Comfortable coordinating colleagues and stakeholders without relying on formal authority.
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to produce structured progress reports and communicate issues to senior stakeholders.
- Proactive, dependable, and willing to follow through on actions.
- Good judgement about when to resolve an issue independently and when to escalate it.
- Strong working knowledge of PowerPoint and Excel; experience with project-management tools is beneficial.
- Exposure to post-merger integration, transformation, private equity, or value-creation programmes is desirable but not essential.
Measures of success
- Integration initiatives are delivered on time and remain aligned with the original thesis.
- Senior stakeholders have accurate and timely visibility of progress.
- Risks and challenges are identified and escalated before they affect delivery.
- Actions, owners, dependencies, and decisions are consistently documented.
- The strategy team and functional stakeholders remain aligned and accountable.
- Expected benefits are tracked and supported by reliable evidence.
