We currently have a role as an Intelligent Software Test Generation and Automation - Bilingual with our large consulting client, working for a public sector, crown corporation in the Montreal area.

Role: Intelligent Software Test Generation and Automation - Bilingual

Type: Permanent or Long Term Contract

Location: Hybrid - Montreal, QC -(2/3 days per week onsite)

Salary: Base salary ranges from $110,000 - $120,000 (depending on experience) + 9% bonus + 4-5 weeks paid vacation + 6% RRSP matching + benefits + sick/personal day + cell phone allowance + discounts for public transit and may other perks

Contract Pay Rate: $70 - $85/hr (freelance/incorporated)

Project Overview

The mandate consists of providing the squads with specialists in quality assurance and artificial intelligence in order to increase the coverage, relevance and speed of test execution. Consultants can assist in the analysis of requirements and code changes, generate or propose test scenarios and acceptance criteria, identify areas that are insufficiently covered, produce test data and automate certain functional or technical validations. They work in the test frameworks, CI/CD pipelines and environments already operated by crown corporation and collaborate directly with developers, analysts, testers and Product Owners. Particular attention is paid to the traceability between requirements, risks, changes and tests as well as to the human validation of the artifacts produced by the AI.

Job Description

As part of multidisciplinary agile teams, you will contribute to the improvement of software quality by leveraging the capabilities of artificial intelligence to accelerate, enrich and make testing activities more reliable. You will be involved in the entire validation cycle in order to increase test coverage, reduce manual effort and improve the speed of production.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business needs, functional requirements and application changes to identify impacts on the testing strategy.
• Design and propose test scenarios, test cases and acceptance criteria using AI-assisted approaches.
• Identify quality risks and areas insufficiently covered by existing tests.
• Participate in the generation and preparation of data necessary for test execution.
• Develop and maintain automation mechanisms for functional and technical validations.
• Integrate testing activities into existing continuous integration and deployment chains.
• Ensure traceability between requirements, risks, changes and test results.
• Work closely with developers, analysts, testers, and product managers.
• Ensure that AI-generated artifacts are validated, vetted, and approved by the relevant teams.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of quality, automation and responsible use of AI.
