What if your sharp eye for detail could keep an entire portfolio of homes, and the company behind it, on the right side of every rule that matters?

About the Company:

Our client is a high-growth, institutional investment platform in the single-family rental space. They are changing how investors own and manage single-family homes, and building the data, tools, and services that let clients invest in the world's largest asset class at scale. The team is collaborative, curious, and open-minded. They speak their minds, own their actions, and celebrate their wins. They take the business seriously, but not themselves.
Their cornerstone values are Accountability, Transparency, and Partnership, all built on Integrity. They also care about measurable impact, including environmentally sustainable practices and helping residents improve their financial health. Expect a flexible, empowering culture and the chance to work alongside true industry pioneers.

The Opportunity:

The Compliance Analyst is an interim role, expected to run 3 to 6 months and it's for someone who can jump in quickly and make an immediate difference. Reporting to the SVP, Compliance, you will make sure the company stays compliant with local, state, and federal requirements, and that every bit of it is documented. You will work hand in hand with the property management, maintenance, and legal teams. If you see solutions where others see problems, this is your seat.

What You'll Do:

  • Dig into real estate regulations and policies covering how single-family homes are managed, owned, renovated, rented, and maintained
  • Keep every entity in good standing, including registered agent reporting, foreign qualifications, tax and business licensing, and annual reporting
  • Review and update existing compliance policies, then clearly communicate them to management and the right departments
  • Build new compliance policies and procedures when the business needs them
  • Apply for compliance certifications, regulatory approvals, and local, state, and federal business and property management licenses
  • Track leasing and broker licensing, registrations, and continuing education requirements
  • Run quality assurance reviews
  • Manage fleet insurance
  • Own escalations from start to finish: management, resolution, and tracking
  • Pitch in on other related items as the team needs

What You Bring:

  • A bachelor's degree and at least two years in a compliance analyst role
  • Solid knowledge of real estate industry compliance requirements and standards
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and compliance management software
  • Advanced analytical ability, plus strong research and data collection, management, and analysis skills
  • The ability to write clear compliance policies, procedures, and documentation, and to explain them to anyone
  • Accuracy when completing applications for compliance certifications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Professional networking skills and comfort working with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Sound judgment and decision-making
  • Real strength in attention to detail, problem analysis and problem solving, planning and organizing, and collaboration and teamwork
In short, you are smart, great with people, forward-thinking, and organized enough that no detail slips by.

Location and Compensation Details:
  • Charlotte, NC (hybrid, 4 days in office, 1 day remote)
  • $65,000 to $70,000 annualized, based on experience

Equal Opportunity and Work Authorization:
