Interim Country Manager - Vaatzorgkliniek
Location: Netherlands, with regular presence at our clinics
Type: Interim, full-time, initial assignment of 6 months
Start: As soon as possible
Reports to: Chief People & Operations Officer, Nordic Health Group
About Vaatzorgkliniek
Vaatzorgkliniek is one of the Netherlands' leading providers of varicose vein treatments and part of Nordic Health Group, Europe's largest network of dedicated vein clinics (60+ clinics in 5 countries). Our mission is to provide accessible, high-quality and medically sound vein care in a modern outpatient setting. With a network of clinics across the Netherlands and strong clinical foundations, we are continuing our growth and are looking for a commercially strong leader to run our Dutch organisation.
The Opportunity
Vaatzorgkliniek currently operates 11 clinics across the Netherlands, with strong ambitions to grow through both existing and new clinics.
As Interim Country Manager, you take full responsibility for the Dutch business, combining operational leadership with commercial growth and financial performance.
You will lead our existing clinic network, drive revenue and profitability, strengthen patient acquisition and conversion, and support the successful growth of new clinics.
Working closely with Nordic Health Group HQ, you will have full responsibility for local execution, people leadership and P&L performance.
Your Mandate
• Take full P&L responsibility for the Dutch business, including revenue growth, EBITDA performance and operational efficiency.
• Lead the existing organisation, including clinic operations, patient coordinators, back office and clinical teams.
• Drive commercial performance across the entire patient journey, from leads and GP referrals to consultations, treatments and patient satisfaction.
• Develop and strengthen relationships with referring GPs to support sustainable growth in patient referrals.
• Improve conversion, clinic utilisation, scheduling and productivity across existing locations.
• Lead the successful operational and commercial development of new clinics.
• Maintain strong operational leadership, clinical quality and regulatory compliance, in line with ZKN, NZa and IGJ requirements.
What Success Looks Like After Six Months
• Stable operations with clear leadership and accountability.
• Measurable improvements in revenue, EBITDA and clinic productivity.
• Improved conversion rates and increased referrals.
• Existing clinics delivering against agreed operational and commercial performance targets.
• New clinics progressing towards sustainable commercial performance.
• A clear operational and commercial plan supporting continued growth.
You Bring
• Proven experience in full P&L leadership, preferably within Dutch private healthcare or multi-site outpatient services.
• A strong commercial track record demonstrating revenue growth, profitability improvements and operational execution.
• Experience developing referral networks, ideally involving GPs and other healthcare partners.
• Ability to combine commercial drive with hands-on operational leadership, people management and healthcare compliance.
• Experience scaling existing operations and successfully developing new locations.
• Strong knowledge of the Dutch healthcare system and relevant regulatory requirements, including Zvw, zorginkoop and ZorgDomein.
• Fluent Dutch and English. You will work in English with group leadership every day.
• Availability at short notice.
Why This Role
• A full Country Manager mandate: you lead, decide and deliver, with short lines to the people who make the final calls.
• A focused business: one condition, one care pathway, so the levers for improvement are clear and your impact is visible quickly.
• Strong backing: the experience, data and playbooks of 60+ clinics across five countries.
• Competitive compensation in line with a full Country Manager role.
• A meaningful product: our treatments significantly improve patients' quality of life.
