Who are we?

At Omniplex Learning, our mission is simple - to help organisations unlock their potential through exceptional digital learning, all in one place.

We’re looking for an experienced Interim Financial Controller to join us on a 12-month fixed-term basis, to provide hands-on leadership across our transactional finance operations. You’ll strengthen financial controls, improve debt collection and lead practical process improvements, while acting as a senior technical point of contact for accounting, reporting and external audit matters.

What will you do?

You’ll combine day-to-day financial leadership with practical problem-solving, helping us strengthen our controls, processes and overall finance operation.

  • Lead sales ledger and credit control, implementing an effective debt collection strategy and actively managing overdue debt, disputes and collection risks

  • Oversee purchase ledger operations, ensuring accurate invoice and payment processing alongside robust supplier onboarding and payment controls

  • Lead and develop the transactional Finance team, creating clear ownership, resilience and effective cover across key activities

  • Deliver practical improvements across transactional finance, using systems, automation and standardisation to reduce manual effort and address root causes

  • Maintain ledger integrity and financial control through effective oversight of reconciliations, aged balances, exceptions and month-end activities

  • Support management and statutory reporting, year-end close and external audit requirements, resolving accounting issues and audit queries

Who are we looking for?

You’ll be a qualified, hands-on finance professional who can lead confidently, get into the detail and turn complex issues into practical solutions.

  • A qualified accountant with an ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualification

  • Strong financial control and transactional finance experience across sales ledger, credit control and purchase ledger

  • A proven ability to improve debt collection and manage significant overdue receivables

  • Strong technical accounting, month-end and balance sheet control skills, including experience supporting management and statutory reporting

  • Experience supporting external audits, resolving queries and improving financial processes and controls

  • Strong people and stakeholder management skills, with experience of finance systems improvement and ideally NetSuite, Tipalti or Salesforce

What’s in it for you?

  • A competitive salary reflective of your experience

  • Hybrid working model, with Tuesday to Thursday based in our office in St Albans and the flexibility to work from home or the office on Monday and Friday

  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, and your birthday off

  • Inclusive Private Medical Insurance and mental health support

  • Group Life Insurance

  • Enhanced family friendly policies

  • Regular social events and team activities
