Interim Global Technology Procurement Lead

6-Month Interim | Immediate Start | Global Industrial Manufacturing

Remote | Ideally UK, DACH, Benelux or Eastern Europe

We are supporting a leading global industrial manufacturing organisation seeking an experienced Interim Global Technology Procurement Lead for an initial six-month assignment.

This is a senior strategic role requiring someone who can quickly take ownership of a significant global IT category spend and lead strategy and execution across AI software, enterprise software, SaaS, hardware, infrastructure, cloud and digital services.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the global IT & Digital category strategy
• Own significant global category/commodity spend
• Lead strategic sourcing across AI software, enterprise software, SaaS, hardware, cloud, infrastructure and IT services
• Drive global technology sourcing and rollout programmes
• Lead complex negotiations with major global technology suppliers
• Optimise software licensing, SaaS agreements and renewals
• Develop sourcing roadmaps and strengthen global supplier governance
• Identify and mitigate supplier, contractual and business continuity risks
• Partner with senior stakeholders across IT, Digital, Finance, Legal and Cybersecurity
• Deliver measurable commercial value through TCO, benchmarking, supplier optimisation and strategic negotiation

Must-Have Experience

• Significant experience owning global IT category/commodity spend
• Strong AI software procurement experience, ideally including global sourcing and rollout
• Extensive enterprise software, SaaS and software licensing expertise
• Strong hardware and IT infrastructure procurement experience
• Proven delivery of global technology rollouts across multiple countries or business units
• Clear examples of category strategies you personally developed and implemented
• Strong track record negotiating complex agreements with global technology suppliers
• Excellent senior stakeholder management within an international organisation
• Fluent English; additional European languages are highly advantageous
