We offer our UK employees a 3:2 hybrid working arrangement where Tuesdays, Thursdays and a third day of your choice are worked from the office. The other two days may be worked from home. This facilitates collaboration and allows employees to maximise productivity whilst maintaining a healthy work/life balance.


Background


This role is a 12 month FTC to implement tax automation efficiencies and provide tax compliance, reporting and advice to the Jupiter Group and product range.


Key Responsibilities


  • Driving forward the Tax teams’ transformation project and developing responsible use of AI tax tools.
  • Preparation of Jupiter Group UK corporate tax returns.
  • Coordination with advisors for the preparation of global corporate tax returns, payments and other indirect tax returns. Working with the advisor to maximise efficiencies from the use of their digital platform.
  • Management of entity tax ledgers.
  • Maintain an effective control framework to manage risk, mitigate errors, breaches and prevent complaints.·
  • Ad hoc project work, for example in respect of permanent establishment reviews or R&D claims·
  • Monitoring changes in the tax environment and that of Jupiter’s business activities to identify impacts for Jupiter.
  • Ad hoc business support provided in relation to Fund tax matters for Investor tax reporting or Custody taxes.


Desired Skills / Experience


  • Experience of working in a UK corporate tax environment, ideally within the asset management sector.
  • Strong project management skills and experience coordinating resources to meet deadlines and objectives.
  • Strong knowledge of UK corporation tax legislation and international VAT regimes (preferred).
  • Experience of use of AI tools in a tax framework, and a keenness to keep learning and adopting new tools.
  • Experience of working with Workday or similar finance system preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to explain tax attributes clearly to non-tax professionals and to present tax information clearly and credibly to others.
  • Excellent attention to detail; confidently numerate with excel.· Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
  • A flexible approach to work.
  • A team player.
