CAE Specialist (Interiors)

Location: Cluj-Napoca, Romania / Hybrid / Remote

About the Opportunity

We are looking to expand our contractor network with experienced CAE Specialists to support a major international automotive programme focused on vehicle interior components.

Initial assignment: approximately 12 months, with potential extension.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop finite element models for automotive interior systems.
• Perform virtual validation and provide engineering recommendations.
• Analyse and report simulation results.
• Collaborate with international engineering teams.
• Support technical reviews and design improvements.

Required Experience

• Proven CAE experience in automotive engineering
• Strong FEA knowledge
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to work independently
• Good understanding of mechanics of materials

Software Requirements

• PAM-CRASH and/or LS-DYNA implicit and explicit analysis
• Pre-processor: Ansa (mandatory)
• Post-processor: Animator (mandatory)
• MS Office suite
• Linux basics
• Advantageous: LoCo, Python scripting, automation and macro development.

Qualifications

Degree in Mechanical, Automotive or related Engineering.

Fluent English required.

Italian is advantageous but not mandatory for highly qualified candidates

Working Model

Contractor (ideally)

Remote or on-site arrangements may be considered depending on seniority and project needs

Occasional travel may be required
