Interior Designer – BIM/Revit
Maison CaroleRole Description: The Interior Designer – BIM/Revit will work on a contract basis remotely, collaborating closely with the design team to develop and document interiors from concept through construction. Day-to-day tasks include producing and updating Revit-based models, preparing detailed construction and millwork drawings, and supporting space planning for residential and commercial projects. The role involves developing interior layouts, coordinating finishes and materials, and assisting with FF&E schedules and documentation. The designer will participate in design reviews, maintain drawing standards, and ensure that all deliverables meet project timelines and technical requirements. Communication with project leads will be primarily virtual, requiring proactive coordination and reliable time management.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Space Planning and Interior Design to create functional, coherent layouts and experiences.
- Candidates should possess foundational knowledge of Architecture to coordinate interiors with building systems and structural requirements.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in Construction Drawings to produce accurate plans, sections, elevations, and details suitable for permitting and construction.
- Candidates should possess experience with FF&E to select, specify, and document furniture, fixtures, and equipment aligned with project concepts and budgets.
- Proficiency in BIM/Revit for interior design documentation and coordination; experience with other design tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3DsMax)
- Strong visual and technical communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear drawings, schedules, and presentation materials.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage deadlines, and collaborate effectively with a distributed team.
- Relevant degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field, and prior experience in interior design or architectural practice.
