Job Summary We are seeking an Intermediate or Senior Civil Engineer with experience in municipal infrastructure (water, wastewater, stormwater, roads) and land development to join our team. Reporting to the Civil Engineering Lead, you will work in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment—collaborating with planners, architects, and structural engineers under the mentorship of experienced professionals. Responsibilities Primary Objectives Deliver high-quality civil engineering solutions for municipal infrastructure and land development projects that meet client, regulatory, and community needs Lead and contribute to projects from concept through construction, ensuring technical excellence, efficiency, and risk mitigation Strengthen project delivery through effective coordination with internal disciplines, clients, and external partners Support team development by mentoring junior staff and contributing to a collaborative, knowledge-sharing environment Build and maintain strong client relationships, particularly within Indigenous, municipal, and remote community contexts Contribute to the firm’s long-term growth through leadership, innovation, and consistent project performance Key Responsibilities Lead and support civil engineering design for municipal and land development projects Mentor and support junior engineers and EITs through project work and reviews Participate in project planning, budgeting, and scheduling Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and reports Coordinate with internal teams, subconsultants, and clients Oversee contract administration and provide construction support Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering Registration as a P.Eng. with Engineers and Geoscientists BC (EGBC) Experience Minimum 5+ years of professional experience, including at least 2 years of work experience in Canada Experience with MMCD contract administration and construction inspection experience Experience working with Indigenous communities or on projects in remote communities is a strong asset Strong communication, technical writing, and computer skills Valid BC driver’s license What You Bring Confidence working with evolving information and shifting priorities A blend of strategic thinking, organized execution, and collaboration Focus and adaptability in complex, fast-paced settings Strong interpersonal skills that foster inclusion, trust, and teamwork Ability to translate technical details into clear, meaningful discussions Leadership that aligns teams and moves projects forward A commitment to user-centered, practical design grounded in real-world constraints A deep motivation to serve communities through impactful infrastructure What Success Looks Like Projects are delivered on time, on budget, and in alignment with quality and regulatory standards Technical designs are practical, constructible, and responsive to real-world site and community constraints Strong, trust-based relationships are established with clients, stakeholders, and project partners Developing redundancy within the team for continuity You are seen as a reliable contributor and emerging leader who can independently manage complex projects Positive contributions to team culture through collaboration, accountability, and a commitment to shared success Meaningful impact is achieved in the communities served, particularly in remote or underserved regions Why Join Us We value creativity, teamwork, and a sense of purpose. Travel may involve evening, weekend, or multi-day trips to meet client needs, where returning home each evening is not possible. Applicants should be comfortable working in smaller and remote communities. Compensation: $120,000 - $160,000 This salary range reflects a variety of considerations including experience, skills, and qualifications, as well as internal equity and business needs. Actual offers will be based on a combination of these factors.
