Join Insurance Europe as an Intern in Brussels!

We regularly welcome interns to our Brussels team across a range of policy areas.

Join us and get a first-hand look at how European policy is shaped, while gaining practical experience in an international organisation at the heart of the EU.

What you’ll do as an intern

Monitor EU policy developments and support our advocacy on a range of policy topics.

Contribute to policy analysis, draft briefings and support position papers that reflect the industry’s views.

Support working groups and committees, including preparing background notes, presentations and meeting reports.

What we’re looking for

We welcome applicants from a wide range of academic backgrounds. Whether you have studied law, economics, actuarial studies, European studies, political science, communications, business or something completely different, what matters most is your curiosity and interest in EU affairs, European politics and the policy environment.

We are looking for people who:

  • Have a genuine interest in European affairs and the work of EU institutions.
  • Are curious, eager to learn and keen to understand how European policies and regulation are developed.
  • Bring a proactive and responsible approach to their work.
  • Have good organisational, analytical and communication skills.
  • Enjoy working as part of an international team and are comfortable taking initiative.
  • Have a good command of English; knowledge of other European languages is an asset.

What we offer

We offer a paid internship with comprehensive benefits such as the following:

  • Benefit from allowances that support working from home
  • A working from home policy and remote work policy allowing for up to three days of home office depending on professional commitments and legal requirements
  • At Insurance Europe, we understand the importance of work-life balance. That’s why we offer a generous holiday package.
  • A structured approach to learning and development with a broad range of training opportunities
  • Supportive environment: work in a collaborative and supportive environment that values diversity and empowers staff to reach their full potential.
