Intern- Claims Appraisal Services Team

We are looking for a motivated Claims Appraisal Services Intern to join our team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in reviewing, writing, and approving auto physical damage estimates, assisting with subrogation demands, and communicating with repair shops regarding repair and supplemental damages. Ideal candidates will have a keen interest in automotive systems and a desire to learn and grow in the field. Throughout the school year, this position is part-time 20 hours per week based on class schedule and our company’s business hours, which are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. This would be an 18-month internship opportunity while the student is enrolled in a college program. During the summer and breaks, the position can be 40 hours per week. RESPONSIBILITIES: Review, write and approve auto physical damage estimates Assists in reviewing photos and estimates from subrogation demands Communicate to shops regarding repair & supplemental damages Other duties & projects assigned within the Auto Physical Damage Claims department QUALIFICATIONS: ESSENTIAL: Pursuing Associate or Bachelor’s degree High degree of accuracy and attention to detail Excellent organizational skills to handle and prioritize multiple responsibilities Proficient with Microsoft 2010 Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Strong written and verbal communication skills PREFERRED: Technical auto experience/knowledge At SECURA, we are transforming the insurance experience by putting authenticity at the forefront of everything we do.
