INTERN, CONTENT, DIGITAL & DESIGN Be part of building a national brand. The Canadian Olympic Committee (COC) is a national, private, not-for-profit organization committed to high-performance sports excellence. We are the largest private supporter of high-performance sport in Canada and we are responsible for all aspects of Canada’s involvement in the Olympic Movement, including participation in the Olympic and Pan American Games. The Digital Marketing department at the COC are seeking a competent, self-starting, passionate, and hard-working individual to become our Digital, Design and Content Intern. The Intern of Digital, Design and Content will be tasked with assisting all forms of digital content creation, supporting graphic design tasks, ensuring high-quality user experience across all Digital Products (web, app, email, loyalty) and supporting digital analytics tracking under clear direction from the Content and Digital Marketing teams. LOCATION This internship will be located in the COC office in Montreal, QC at 500 Boul. René-Levesque, 2nd Floor or our Toronto office located at 250 Yonge Street, Suite 3000, Toronto, Ontario, M5B 2L7. We offer a hybrid work model that allows for up to two days of remote work each week. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND PRIORITIES Content Participates in the content planning process, including strategy, production, distribution, and measurement Assists in the execution of content tactics across Team Canada channels (social, web, app, email) Assists with social media community management across Team Canada channels Helps monitor Team Canada athletes across social media and ensures relevant athlete accounts are followed and up to date Curates news-related and fan-focused content for appropriate Team Canada social channels Assists with editing short-form video content for Team Canada’s social media channels Supports the adaptation of editorial content for social media, identifying relevant stories, moments, and information to share with fans Stays up to date with the latest social media trends and best practices to help grow Team Canada/Équipe Canada’s online presence Monitors sports industry news to support real-time responses and timely content creation Supports the weekly Team Canada newsletter Supports the adaptation and translation of content between English and French Curates blog-style and list-based content for appropriate Team Canada channels Assists with building and maintaining athlete profile pages, including adding links and updating content as required Digital Marketing and Data Supports Digital Product ecosystem maintenance (Website, App, Email, other) Contributes to user experience improvements across all Digital Products Manages Team Canada reward fulfillment (prizing, gamification executions) Assists in the execution of Email newsletters Helps with email newsletter subscriber list management and inbox maintenance Aids in email inbox clearing and forwarding of messages Builds fan engagement content experiences using provided tools Supports analytics measurement, tracking and reporting efforts for COC and partner campaigns Design Receive and execute simple design briefs (digital and email banners, social media posts, signage, etc.) with oversight from the design team Develop design templates for various needs that stakeholders can use to roll out assets themselves Assist stakeholders with presentation designing and visuals Support with photography searches and selection for various design requests Assist with design team organization of files and assets QUALIFICATIONS AND CRITICAL SKILLS Must be enrolled in a Canadian degree or diploma program in Business (Marketing, Communications, Commerce, Sport Management), Graphic Design, or relevant field Interest in digital marketing and social media Knowledge of and passion for sports and Canadian athletes Creative thinker with experience creating digital content Familiarity with social media platforms, trends and best practices Experience editing short-form video is an asset Strong writing skills and attention to detail Familiarity with Team Canada/Équipe Canada’s owned channels Comfortable working with WordPress and digital analytics tools is an asset Bilingual (English and French) is a major asset Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and After Effects Strong typography, layout and photo editing skills An aptitude and willingness to learn, follow direction and receive feedback TERM This full-time internship will run from approximately January 2027 to April 2027, depending on the successful intern’s availability and the academic calendar. COMPENSATION This is a paid internship. The intern will earn an hourly wage of $18.50 with a maximum of 35 hours per week.
