Our culture is built on collaboration and passion, with a shared commitment to delivering lasting value to the clients we serve. Located in downtown Toronto, our vision is to be the partner of choice for Ontario’s public sector funds and to build a high-performing, value-driven asset management firm.

This job posting is for an existing vacancy. If you are ready to deliver best-in-class service and join a collaborative, motivated and fun team of professionals, IMCO offers the opportunity to do impactful work and broaden your expertise.

If you’re looking to use your expertise to drive strategic outcomes, we’d love to hear from you.

‎

We are looking for a highly motivated student or recent graduate to join our team from May to August 2027 for the summer term!

IMCO’s Intern Program supports the development of students and recent graduates through one-on one mentoring, peer and experiential learning, internal training programs, and meaningful work experience. We welcome applications from undergraduate and master’s students, as well as recent graduates, who are interested in the investment management industry and how enterprise change is shaped and delivered.

About Enterprise Transformation & AI Strategy

The Enterprise Transformation & AI Strategy team supports IMCO in translating enterprise priorities and target operating model choices into coordinated, measurable change. The team works across the organization to strengthen the connection between strategy, transformation planning, delivery, adoption, and business value. Its work is expected to span enterprise transformation, operating model evolution, portfolio and performance insight, and the responsible advancement of artificial intelligence.

The team collaborates with business functions, the Enterprise Project Management Office, Operational Excellence, IT & Data, Finance, Risk, Human Resources, and other partners. The purpose is not to replace business ownership, but to help create the information, coordination, and disciplines needed to focus priorities, manage interdependencies, support execution, and sustain outcomes.

The Opportunity

The intern will provide research, analysis, reporting, and coordination support across a range of enterprise transformation and AI strategy priorities. The role offers exposure to how a leading investment organization develops operating model choices, advances strategic initiatives, evaluates emerging technologies, and measures whether change is being adopted and creating value. Assignments will vary as priorities evolve. The successful candidate will work with team members and cross-functional partners on practical deliverables while building analytical, communication, organizational, and business problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities Include

Research & Strategic Analysis

  • Conduct research on enterprise transformation, operating models, artificial intelligence, governance, and industry practices.
  • Synthesize information from internal and external sources into concise findings, options, and presentation materials.
  • Support analysis of strategic priorities, business needs, dependencies, risks, and emerging opportunities.

Transformation Planning & Coordination

  • Assist with maintaining transformation plans, roadmaps, work products, and supporting documentation.
  • Help coordinate inputs across teams and track key actions, decisions, milestones, and follow-ups.
  • Support workshops, meetings, and working sessions through preparation of materials and documentation of outcomes.

Performance, Value & Executive Insight

  • Assist with gathering and organizing information used to understand transformation progress, adoption, and business outcomes.
  • Support the preparation of dashboards, presentations, briefing materials, and other leadership reporting.
  • Help improve the clarity, consistency, and usability of information used for decision-making.

AI Strategy & Enablement

  • Support research and analysis related to AI use cases, responsible adoption, workforce readiness, and business value.
  • Assist with materials that connect AI priorities to business processes, data, technology, governance, and change considerations.
  • Contribute to team learning and knowledge sharing on evolving AI practices and tools.

Team & Operational Support

  • Organize and maintain team documentation, templates, and shared repositories.
  • Provide general analytical, administrative, and coordination support as team priorities evolve.
  • Work collaboratively across the team and with internal partners, demonstrating curiosity, judgment, and attention to detail.

What You Need to Succeed

  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree, or recently graduated, in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Data/Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Interest in enterprise transformation, strategy, operating models, artificial intelligence, technology-enabled change, or investment management.
  • Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to organize information and identify key themes.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, including an interest in developing presentations and executive-ready materials.
  • Strong organizational skills, sound judgment, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments, work both independently and collaboratively, and adapt as priorities evolve.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint, Excel, and Word; familiarity with Microsoft 365, Power BI, SharePoint, or AI tools is an asset.
  • Innate curiosity and a desire to learn, improve how work gets done, and contribute to practical business outcomes.

Application Information & Deadline: Please submit your resume by November 2, 2026.
