We are all brand builders – regardless of our position in the company. Are you looking for a great remote intern experience while you finish your studies? We are interviewing candidates to join our growing agile development team at Constellation Brands. You are in the driver’s seat with agile development because you decide what features or “user stories” you feel comfortable committing to. Our team develops sales applications using a variety of technologies, including but not limited to:

You will gain full-stack, resume-building experience developing valuable features for our sales team. Our senior engineers are always online to answer your questions and provide constructive feedback via code reviews. Please consider applying if you are passionate about technology and want to work with a fun-loving multinational team.

Responsibilities

  • Learn and participate in our agile development process, including our online user story grooming sessions and sprint planning meetings.
  • Leverage AI to facilitate the development process.
  • Learn our coding standards, design patterns, and best practices as defined in our documentation.
  • Evaluate “user stories” and assign points for the difficulty level. Use this to determine what stories you feel comfortable committing to.
  • Complete your committed user stories in two-week sprints.
  • Create or update JavaScript and Python APIs to support new application functionality.
  • Develop new features for our web using React or iOS mobile applications using React Native.
  • Learn and participate in our GitHub pull request and review process.
  • Attend our 15-minute online scrum sessions with other team members daily or as your schedule allows.
  • Perform manual and automated quality assurance tests to verify completed user stories.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues and code defects.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a degree in Computer Science or a similar program
  • Positive attitude and receptive to feedback
  • Passion for applying technology to solve real-world problems. Have you participated in a hackathon? Let us know.
  • Completed coursework using a high-level programming language such as Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, etc.
  • Some knowledge of relational database systems
  • Comfortable working with JSON data
  • Course or project work involving REST APIs
  • Familiarity with Git version control
  • Course or project work involving web or mobile user interfaces
  • Solid written and verbal communication; strong interest and ability to collaborate with team members

Physical Requirements/Other

  • Must be able to work on a computer for extended periods of time
  • You will need a relatively quiet space to work and participate in online meetings
