Internal Auditor

This is a remote position.

What You’ll Do

• Design and conduct internal audits of financial controls, compliance, and operational effectiveness
  
• Manage the audit schedule, including new accounts, account monitoring and validation, and procedure adherence
  
• Administer the BSA/AML quality control program and the Customer Identification/Enhanced Due Diligence program in line with regulatory guidance and best practices
  
• Write clear audit reports with actionable recommendations for management
  
• Track audit findings through to resolution
  
• Support external auditors and regulatory examiners
  
• Partner with managers, VPs, and staff to keep BSA/AML priorities on track
  
• Develop and recommend procedures as needed
  
• Keep current on regulatory trends, accounting principles, and audit techniques
  
• Take on special projects as assigned
  

What You Bring

• 5+ years of BSA/AML compliance experience at a financial institution as a BSA Investigator, Officer, or Analyst
  
• Strong working knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act, USA PATRIOT Act, and OFAC regulations
  
• Understanding of deposit operations, lending, and consumer banking compliance
  
• Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills
  
• Clear, concise written and verbal communication
  
• Ability to work with all levels of management, legal counsel, law enforcement, and regulators while keeping strict confidentiality
  
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  

Preferred

• Bachelor’s degree in Business
  
• Nationally recognized BSA certification (e.g., CAMS)
  
• Experience with Verafin and Symitar
