Background
The Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) with 57 participating States is the world’s largest regional security organization. All 57 participating States enjoy equal status, and decisions are taken by consensus on a politically, but not legally binding basis.
For more detailed information on the structure and work of the Secretariat, please see: http://www.osce.org/secretariat
The Department of Human Resources (DHR), through its Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) function, supports the health, safety and wellbeing of personnel across the OSCE Secretariat and executive structures, including psychosocial support, prevention, staff wellbeing and support to managers. Managers play a central role in recognizing early signs of distress in their teams, responding appropriately, modelling healthy work practices and connecting staff to available support.
OSH has identified the need for a dedicated mental health learning programme for managers that is tailored to the OSCE context, can be managed and tracked by the Organization, and is concise, scalable and accessible to approximately 600 managers across all duty stations. The assignment covers the technical design and development of a 1–2-hour, self-paced, interactive e-learning course “Mental Health for Managers”, which complements OSH’s existing psychosocial support services and training offer for managers.
