International HR Generalist | 18 month FTC
Remote in Ireland (with occasional travel to Dublin)
We’re working with an international research organisation that is looking to appoint an International HR Generalist to support employees and managers across multiple countries and regions. This is a broad, hands-on HR role where you’ll act as a key point of contact for day-to-day HR matters while supporting the delivery and continuous improvement of HR operations across a geographically dispersed workforce.
A key pre-requisite for this role is HR Generalist or HR Operations experience within a multi-jurisdiction environment surplus to UK&I.
Responsibilities:
- Acting as the first point of contact for employee and manager HR queries
- Managing employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, transfers, employment changes, leave and offboarding
- Coordinating international recruitment administration and employment documentation
- Supporting immigration, visa and work authorisation processes
- Managing the day-to-day administration of international benefits programmes
- Maintaining accurate HR systems, employee records, documentation and data
- Supporting HR reporting, audits and operational tracking
- Providing administrative support for employee relations cases
- Preparing employee communications relating to HR processes, policies and benefits
- Developing and maintaining country-specific HR procedures, templates and guidance
- Coordinating HR projects across multiple countries and time zones
- Working closely with HR, Legal, Finance, Talent Acquisition and external providers
- Identifying opportunities to improve HR processes, including the responsible use of automation and AI tools
- Handling sensitive employee and business information with a high level of confidentiality
Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Employment Law or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience
- CIPD or equivalent recognised HR qualification
- 5+ years' HR experience, including at least 3 years in an international HR Generalist role, or strong HR Operations experience within a multinational environment
- Strong practical knowledge of Irish employment legislation and HR practices
- Experience supporting HR operations across multiple countries or legal entities
- Experience working with at least one additional European or international jurisdiction
- Strong understanding of employee lifecycle processes, employee relations, benefits and HR administration
- Experience working with HRIS platforms; Workday experience would be advantageous
- Experience working with payroll, benefits providers, immigration advisers, employment counsel or other external HR partners is desirable
- Experience with HR technology, automation or AI-enabled HR processes would be an advantage
