Columbia Dental Internship Program – Fall 2026 About Columbia Dental: For more than 26 years, Columbia Dental has been redefining comprehensive dental care across Connecticut. We are proud to announce the Columbia Dental Fall 2026 Internship Program, an immersive professional development experience designed for highly motivated students interested in healthcare, business, technology, law, communications, and leadership. Program Dates: October 15, 2026 – March 15, 2027 Location: Hybrid internship Virtual seminars and independent assignments In-person clinical and departmental experiences Might have rotations throughout Columbia Dental's 12 Connecticut locations Program Commitment: Interns should expect to dedicate 10 hours per week throughout the program. Program requirements include: Minimum of 6 in-person hours each month Attendance at remote as well as in-person seminars Participation in virtual educational sessions Completion of assigned departmental projects Active engagement with mentors and program staff Completion of a final research project and presentation Internship Details: Unpaid internship program Hands-on learning and professional development opportunities Following the review of applications and interviews, one exceptional candidate will be selected to receive a $4,000 scholarship/stipend . The scholarship recipient will be selected based on: Application materials, Interview performance, Academic achievement, Leadership potential, Demonstrated commitment to the profession. The award will be granted upon completion of the selection process and prior to the start of the internship program. Research Project Throughout the internship, interns will complete an independent research project related to their internship track or a healthcare topic approved by the program. Examples include: Clinical innovations Artificial intelligence in dentistry Human resources initiatives Marketing strategies Healthcare operations Dental technology Healthcare law and ethics Each project must include: Research report Professional scientific poster Oral presentation Internship Symposium The internship will conclude with the Columbia Dental Internship Research Symposium . Each intern will present: A 10–15 minute oral presentation A professionally designed research poster A written research report Available Positions (Subject to Change): Human Resources Intern (Recruiting, onboarding, HR administration) Clinical Interns (Chairside observation, patient workflow. Provided training will help prepare participants for DANB Infection Control certification/testing) Digital Lab Intern (CAD/CAM technology, dental design software) Manual Lab Intern (Model preparation, dental appliances, traditional laboratory techniques) Critical Writing Intern (Research and content development) Legal Intern Marketing Intern (Social media, branding, content creation) Evaluation Intern performance will be evaluated using: Professionalism Attendance Participation Completion of assignments Seminar participation Research project quality Poster presentation Final oral presentation Participants who successfully complete all program requirements will receive a Certificate of Completion from Columbia Dental. Eligibility Applicants should: Be enrolled in or recently graduated from an accredited college or university. Demonstrate strong academic performance, professionalism, and communication skills. Have a genuine interest in healthcare, dentistry, business, technology, law, marketing, or related fields. Be able to commit to all required program activities.
