We're looking for our next Content Distribution & Programming Intern!
What you'll be doing:
The Content Distribution & Programming intern will assist the VP of Content Distribution with the day-to-day execution of programming and content distribution across the BTPM PBS, BTPM Kids and BTPM Create platforms. The intern will also gain experience in the distribution and local acquisition process for Independent Productions submitted to Buffalo Toronto Public Media. Hours are flexible and work may be hybrid - a blend of remote and in-office work.
In summary, this individual will:
- Review and critic submitted independent producers' films.
- Assist the VP of Content Distribution in fulfilling the deliverable requirements for submitted films.
- Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure required deliverables are met.
- Learn how the submitted programs are scheduled on local and national platforms.
- Provide administrative support to the Content Distribution department.
- Performs various ad hoc projects as assigned.
- Complies with all BTPM's policies, procedures and values; displays professional acumen and leads by example.
- Performs all other duties as assigned by a member of management.
What you'll need:
- Enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student in media study or related field - *must be qualifying for college/university course credit, documentation required
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office or similar programs
- Creative, approachable, team-focused, professional demeanor
- Willingness to learn, specifically in media and/or the nonprofit sector
- Interest in Independent Film, film criticism, or independent cinema; desired but not required

*This is an unpaid internship for course credit from an accredited college/university program. Internship documentation or agreement from the school is required.
