Your career shouldn’t start with waiting in line. At Opella, early careers are built differently. You’re trusted early, supported strongly, and given real space to make an impact.
As a Supply Chain & AI Intern, you’ll join our Supply Chain team and contribute to the digital transformation of the way we work, exploring how data, automation and Artificial Intelligence can make our processes simpler, smarter and more effective.
About the job
At Opella, we’re constantly looking for better and simpler ways to bring health into people’s hands. We’re looking for a curious, analytical and digitally minded intern who wants to explore how Artificial Intelligence can make a real difference in Supply Chain operations.
You will combine Supply Chain, data analytics, process improvement and AI, identifying practical opportunities to automate repetitive activities, simplify processes and turn operational data into actionable insights.
Working closely with Supply Chain teams and key stakeholders, you will have the opportunity to develop and test real AI and automation use cases using tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Excel, Power BI and Power Automate, while learning how an end-to-end Supply Chain operates.
Main responsibilities
- Identify repetitive or manual Supply Chain activities that could be simplified or automated through AI and digital solutions.
- Develop and test practical AI use cases using tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Excel, Power BI and Power Automate, supporting data analysis, reporting and information retrieval.
- Measure and document the impact of AI and automation initiatives in terms of time saved, process simplification and quality improvement.
- Analyse operational data across areas such as service level, inventory, forecast accuracy, distribution and logistics, identifying trends, exceptions and improvement opportunities.
- Support recurring Supply Chain performance reviews by preparing analyses, dashboards and actionable insights.
- Map existing processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across Planning, Logistics and Distribution.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to help build more standardised, data-driven and automated ways of working, while supporting the adoption of AI through simple guidelines, templates and best practices.
What you will learn
During your internship, you’ll have the opportunity to:
- Understand how an end-to-end Supply Chain operates within a global Consumer Healthcare business.
- Explore how AI and automation can be applied to real business challenges, moving from an idea to a practical use case.
- Build hands-on experience with tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Power BI, Power Automate and Excel.
- Turn complex operational data into clear insights and recommendations that support business decisions.
- Develop practical knowledge of Planning, Logistics, Distribution and Supply Chain performance management.
- Strengthen your skills in data analysis, process improvement, problem solving and project management.
- Work with different teams and stakeholders and see how digital transformation can improve everyday ways of working.
About you
- You are currently completing, or have recently completed, a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, Economics, Data Analytics or a related field.
- You have a strong analytical mindset and enjoy working with data, processes and digital tools.
- You are confident using Excel; familiarity with Power BI, Power Automate, Microsoft Copilot or other AI tools would be a plus.
- You are curious about Artificial Intelligence, automation and digital transformation and interested in understanding how they can solve real business problems.
- You approach challenges with curiosity and critical thinking, with the ability to identify inefficiencies and propose simpler ways of working.
- You are proactive, hands-on and comfortable collaborating with different teams and stakeholders.
- You have a good command of English and strong communication skills.
The mindset we value
At Opella, we believe in working in a way that is bold, simple, collaborative and focused on impact. We’re looking for someone who is ready to bring these behaviours to life every day:
- Brave: explore new technologies, experiment with ideas, ask questions and challenge existing ways of working.
- Simplify. Radically: use data, AI and automation to remove unnecessary complexity and make processes smarter and easier.
- All In. Together: collaborate openly with Supply Chain teams and other stakeholders, share knowledge and help others embrace new ways of working.
- Outcome obsessed: focus on solutions that deliver measurable improvements, whether through time saved, better quality or more effective decision-making.
