In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for maintaining robust inventory controls through stock reconciliations, variance investigations, inventory reporting and stock count management. You will work closely with Product Management, Finance, Quality, Customer Service, Supply Chain teams and third-party logistics providers (3PLs) to identify and resolve inventory discrepancies, conduct root cause analysis and implement sustainable corrective actions. The Inventory Lead will play a key role in driving inventory performance by reducing aged, blocked and obsolete stock, improving inventory visibility and ensuring accurate stock records across the network. You will also support inventory-related projects, develop and strengthen inventory processes and controls, and champion continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and service levels.

What’s in it for you?

  • Personal growth, including training and development opportunities
  • Health Cash Plan
  • Subsidised gym membership
  • Access to flexible pay with Aslan

What to expect?

  • Lead weekly, monthly and annual inventory reconciliations across multiple warehouse locations, ensuring inventory accuracy and timely resolution of variances.
  • Partner with third-party logistics providers (3PLs) to investigate discrepancies, validate stock positions and align physical inventory with system records.
  • Own inventory discrepancies from identification through root cause analysis, corrective action implementation and resolution.
  • Maintain full traceability and auditability of inventory movements, stock adjustments, transfers and investigations.
  • Monitor inventory accuracy KPI’s and implement robust controls to prevent recurring issues and improve overall stock integrity
  • Analyse inventory performance data and provide recommendations to support inventory optimisation, working capital improvements and informed business decision-making.
  • Coordinate inventory disposal and write-off activities, ensuring all approvals, documentation and compliance requirements are completed accurately and on time.
  • Partner with Product Management, Finance, Quality and Supply Chain teams to minimise inventory risk, reduce write-offs and maximise stock utilisation.
  • Produce, analyse and communicate key inventory KPIs, including inventory accuracy, aged stock, blocked stock, inventory losses, write-offs, stock transfers and inventory turn.
  • Partner with Finance to support inventory valuation, provisions, month-end reporting, reconciliations and internal and external audit requirements.
  • Utilise data analytics to identify inventory trends, risks and opportunities, driving corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead and oversee annual stock count activities across all key warehouse locations, ensuring effective planning, coordination and execution.
  • Coordinate year-end stock counts with internal stakeholders, Finance, Operations, Quality teams and third-party logistics providers (3PLs) to ensure accurate inventory verification.
  • Identify, lead and support initiatives that strengthen inventory controls, improve reporting capabilities and enhance operational inventory management processes.
  • Partner with third-party logistics providers (3PLs) to develop, implement and optimise cycle count programmes that improve inventory accuracy and reduce reliance on annual stock counts.
  • Support and lead inventory-related projects, including ERP enhancements, EDI developments, reporting improvements, warehouse integrations and process automation initiatives.
