We are hiring an Investment Analyst to join our Investment Strategy Research team in our Singapore office.

Position Overview:

Cambridge Associates’ Investment Strategy Office brings together investment professionals dedicated to market analysis, asset allocation guidance, risk management, and investment science. The Investment Analyst is part of the Investment Strategy Research team, supporting the firm’s research and market analysis work. Working closely with senior colleagues, Analysts gather and assess financial-market data, prepare charts and research materials, and respond to requests from investment teams.


This role offers exposure to a wide variety of asset classes and investment strategies, along with opportunities to develop research and analysis skills. Excellent reading comprehension and written communication skills are required, in addition to quantitative aptitude. Analysts are expected to participate in internal discussions as part of a global team, which may require conference calls outside of normal office hours.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Update and create analysis for use by other departments, ensuring accuracy of data, methodology, and presentation
  • Utilize internal AI tools and other internal databases to create and maintain analysis, presentations, and models for internal teams and clients
  • Respond to ad hoc requests, upholding our high standards for customer service
  • Research new sources of data and become familiar with various data publications and vendors to assist the group in continually expanding data coverage
  • Regularly evaluate internal processes to correct inefficiencies, ensure accuracy, and improve communication
  • Perform additional duties as necessary to support the firm’s research needs.
  • Successful individuals in the role have the opportunity to grow their responsibilities to contribute directly to research, including:
    - Working on research pieces alongside Investment Directors, sourcing date, preparing chats, conducting data analysis
    - Reading and summarizing leading institutional investment research publications
    - Assist in the development and testing of R code designed to accomplish specific task.
    - Assist with custom projects requiring quantitative research, financial analysis, and thoughtful modeling.


Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree with a record of high academic achievement. Enrollment in the CFA program a plus
  • Fresh graduates and individuals with 0-2 years of similar work experience are welcome to apply
  • Analytical ability and intellectual curiosity, with a strong interest in investments and macroeconomics
  • Organized with high attention to detail, ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects simultaneously, and work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required. Familiarity with Bloomberg, Factset and Thomson Reuters Datastream a plus
  • Knowledge of statistical packages such as R, Python is a plus

Base salary range for this role:

Pay Range Minimum:

66500

Pay Range Maximum:

76500

In addition to the listed salary range, this position is eligible for an annual performance-based bonus and a comprehensive, competitive benefits package. Actual placement within the stated salary range will be determined based on factors such as skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as internal equity.
