Investment Director

Role Description The Investment Director at BBS, Inc Boston is a part-time, remote role responsible for guiding the company’s investment activities and financial strategies. Day-to-day tasks include evaluating investment opportunities, conducting financial and market analysis, and developing diversified investment strategies aligned with business goals. The role involves monitoring existing investments, assessing risk and performance, and providing clear recommendations to leadership on portfolio adjustments. The Investment Director will also collaborate with internal stakeholders to support budgeting, capital allocation, and long-term financial planning, while ensuring compliance with relevant investment and financial regulations.

Qualifications

• Strong background in Investment Management and Investments, with experience overseeing portfolios or investment programs.
• Advanced Analytical Skills, including quantitative analysis and data-driven decision-making for evaluating risk and return.
• Expertise in Investment Strategies, such as asset allocation, diversification, and risk management.
• Solid understanding of Finance, including financial statements, valuation methods, and capital markets.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA) are an advantage.
• Proven ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and presentation skills for explaining complex financial concepts to non-specialist stakeholders.
• Ethical judgment, attention to detail, and a commitment to regulatory compliance and best practices in investment management.
