Director of Strategic Investment

Location: Global / Remote

YZi Labs is investing in founders and technologies shaping the future of AI, Web3, and next-generation infrastructure. We are looking for a Director of Strategic Investment to lead high-impact deals, drive strategic investment initiatives, and partner with senior leadership to define and execute YZi Labs’ investment strategy.

This is a high-visibility role for someone with strong investment banking experience, a deep understanding of financial modeling and deal execution, and the ability to bridge strategy and execution across complex investment opportunities.

What You’ll Do

• Lead strategic investment initiatives across emerging technologies and high-growth startups.
• Originate, evaluate, and structure deals with corporates, venture partners, and startups globally.
• Conduct deep financial, commercial, and market diligence to assess potential investments.
• Build financial models, valuation frameworks, and investment memos for executive review.
• Partner with portfolio companies and founders to support growth, M&A, and strategic partnerships.
• Advise leadership on market trends, competitive landscape, and strategic opportunities.
• Represent YZi Labs in investor, founder, and corporate networks.

What We’re Looking For

• 5–10+ years of experience in investment banking, corporate finance, or M&A advisory, with a strong track record of deal execution.
• Experience in tech, AI, or frontier technology sectors is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills and expertise in financial modeling, valuation, and structuring complex deals.
• Ability to identify, evaluate, and execute strategic investment opportunities.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate in a fast-paced, open, and dynamic environment.

Preferred

• Previous experience working with venture capital or private equity is a plus.
• Experience with cross-border investments or strategic partnerships.
• Familiarity with emerging technology trends and AI/Web3 ecosystems.
