About The Role

IMan Investment is hiring an Investment Manager to cover biopharmaceuticals and the broader healthcare industry. You will independently own investment work from diligence and valuation through transaction execution, and stay close to companies translating science into commercial products. This seat is remote- or hybrid-friendly and open to candidates who can work with founders, scientists and management across Hong Kong, China and international markets.

Responsibilities

  • Cover biopharma and healthcare investment opportunities, including cell therapy, regenerative medicine, organoids, life-science tools, innovative drugs and biotechnology platforms
  • Independently lead due diligence, valuation, financial modelling, return analysis and deal execution
  • Hold professional discussions with scientists, heads of R&D, clinical experts and company management
  • Judge the path from R&D to commercialisation, separating technical feasibility, product readiness and commercial viability
  • Support portfolio companies on operating metrics, financing plans, strategic partnerships and corporate development
  • Prepare investment memos and materials for Partners and the investment committee
  • Maintain a high-quality pipeline and represent IMan with founders and industry counterparts

Requirements

  • 8+ years in biopharmaceutical investing, healthcare industry investing, corporate strategy, M&A or corporate development
  • Working knowledge of at least one of: cell therapy, regenerative medicine, organoids, life-science tools, innovative drugs, or biotechnology platforms
  • Proven ability to run diligence, valuation, financial modelling, investment-return analysis and transaction execution independently
  • Able to communicate professionally with scientists, R&D leaders, clinical experts and senior management
  • Understand the translation from research to commercialisation, and distinguish technical feasibility, product usability and commercial viability
  • Post-investment experience in operating-metric management, financing planning, strategic partnerships or corporate development
  • Degree in biomedicine, pharmacy, bioengineering, finance, economics, accounting or a related field; a combined science-and-finance background is preferred
  • Able to read English technical materials, investment documents and international market research; professional Chinese and English communication required
