Investment Oversight Analyst – Permanent

Location: Dublin, County Dublin

Type: Full-time | Permanent


Abrivia Recruitment is partnering with an organisation in the international insurance and financial services sector to recruit an Investment Oversight Analyst. This is an exciting opportunity for an investment professional to join a well-established, international business operating across a broad range of investment products and markets.


The successful candidate will report to the Investment Oversight Controller and will take ownership of supporting the monitoring, analysis and reporting of underlying investments, while helping the organisation meet its operational and regulatory obligations. The role involves a combination of investment analysis, oversight, regulatory compliance and process improvement.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the organisation’s investment risk and control framework in line with its investment policy.
  • Analyse investments to assess compliance with internal investment guidelines and acceptable asset requirements.
  • Support the Investment Oversight Controller in overseeing investment activity and ensuring Asset Managers operate in accordance with relevant agreements, product disclosures and regulatory obligations.
  • Liaise with Asset Managers and other third parties to support compliance with relevant regulations, including EMIR, PRIIPs and the Solvency II Prudent Person Principle.
  • Support the preparation of reporting for the Investment Oversight Committee.
  • Conduct investment due diligence for the onboarding of new investment strategies, including gathering information from Asset Managers and assessing investment risk levels.
  • Perform analysis to assess compliance with EMIR and PRIIPs requirements.
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of investment-related policies and procedures.
  • Support project delivery and identify opportunities to improve processes, controls and operational efficiencies.
  • Work closely with colleagues and external stakeholders across an international business environment.


Requirements:

  • Relevant third-level qualification with a strong academic record.
  • Good knowledge of key investment products and markets, including equities, bonds, funds, cash and derivatives.
  • Strong quantitative financial analysis and reporting capabilities.
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work effectively on your own initiative.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with colleagues, Asset Managers and other external stakeholders.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Ability to work effectively within a diverse, international team environment.


Desirable:

  • Experience using Microsoft 365 tools, particularly Power BI, Excel and related data and reporting tools.
  • Fluency in Italian.
  • Previous exposure to investment oversight, asset management, insurance, financial services or investment-related regulatory requirements.
